What is Roenick talking about..."Robyn Regher is playing with Team Canada because his home nation of Brazil failed to qualify for the tournament."

Ok...am I lost? When has Brazil ever been considered a International Hockey Threat?

Roenick was making a joke. Robyn Regehr was born in Brazil, as his parents are Christian missionaries.

I'm sorry to say that, but my dear American fellows, your team is too old and slow. And Canada has played 2 times better so far!

Canada is no joke all over the United States. There was 19 shots that period, and that doesn;t even count the 7 or so that missed the net from close range.

Oh Baby as Bob Cole would say.

I know where he was born...read a good article about him over last season. JR is yapping so much, I don't know what to ignore. He said it with soooo much conviction! :shakehead

To be up by only one goal after that domination should be disappointing.

One goal lead. yippedy-doo.... last I checked there are three periods, not one. :dunno:

Wow, that period was complete Canadian domination. I was impressed by the Swedes and Finns, but this Canadian team is unbelievable.

As a Canadian fan i have a feeling ive seen this movie before ..all kinds of pressure ..goalie stands on head ..US gets a flukey one or two ..DOH!!!!!

Yep..I have that kinda feeling too....hope not though. :)

Ice definitely seems tilted....but Robert Esche....that is a clinic....great work by him....Heatley looks great, as does most of Canada, Brewer having a good game...Iggy looks very solid as well.

Should be a great game.

umm...not to be a jerkface right now, but did esche look funny getting up from that split save? maybe i'm just nervous because he is our saving grace....or so it seems.
i hope i get flamed away for being wrong.

I didn't realize brewer played that physical.. he rocked gomez. Canada does look awesome... hopefully U.S. can regroup and keep this a tight game.

Canada owned the States in that period. They are on their way to 60 shots in the game.. yikes.. the US needs to wake up. They are lucky they are only down by 1. Esche has been awesome. He's made some bad ass saves. A really fun game to watch. I hope Jovo is okay.

I'll enjoy watching the Russians...with Ovechkin, Kovalev...and Old Petrov!!!

Whoa! This's the best hockey I've ever seen!

But what the heck is wrong with the picture? The quality is horrible! When the camera moves, everything gets blurry, and the colors are somehow screwed up I guess. :shakehead Is it just here in Finland or what? Fantastic game but the low quality of picture really bothers me... :dunno:

CBC just showed Keith Tkachuk going after the knees on 2 seperate hits. Classic Tkachuk for you.
yeah, I noticed both of them... was wondering why nobody mentioned anything on t.v.

then i realized that JR was yapping away non-stop.

Well whoever said Esche sucks looks pretty dumb now. Esche is the only reason it's only 1-0. Canada is riding the adrenaline from playing at home. Look for the US to bounce back this period.

Conklin, Martin, Langenbrunner, Smolinski, Rafalski, Blake

once again the Islanders get overlooked, first Hamerlik now Blake:P

in all honesty why the hell would you sit Langenbrunner, i think he is a great player for games like this
