World Cup: World Cup 2026 qualifying - SouthAmerica/Conmebol

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Another thread lol thanks! The national teams thread would suffice. Hell the qualifiers are almost done
I just saw someone talking about Japan qualifying so I just thought to make things clearer for everyone, and yes, I saw that they're almost done in Conmebol. But Europe is just starting so that'll get a lot of posts ->separate thread.

South America – CONMEBOL world cup qualifiers is still the best international football...
18 matches... home and away...
Europe should drop the stupid nations league and add more games and a similar 10 team group structure.
Europe is, which tournament are we playing in this round of caps?

So many games from the qualifiers is just fantastic pure rivalry football.

(hope Allisson (and the other guy) that was one of the worst head to head collisions I've seen.)

Almada stealing minutes from Paz :(

This is probably the wrong thread but this game albeit irrelevant for Argentina should be full of intensity. Raphina was running his mouth.

It took Julian Alvarez just 4 minutes to put Argentina ahead against Brazil, who's starting about 4 players I'm not familiar with lol. Now Enzo makes it 2-0 inside 13 minutes after some great plays from Argentina.

Now the Brazilian goalie (who plays in Saudi lol) is injured.

Brainfart by Romero and underrated Cunha steals it off of him and scores with a nice low shot, 2-1 and the game is suddenly alive, Argentina looked in control.

3-1 Argentina (nice goal Alexis) and they're back in control, this might be a classic for them. To be fair the only time Brazil had a nice play was on their goal and that was a one-player thing.

Giuliano comes in and makes it 4-1, I'm going to sleep, this Brazil team is helpless. That Arana guy who they played at left back couldn't make cut it for Sevilla and Atalanta and it's obvious why. I have to admit that after watching Giuliano sucking for a year at Alaves I couldn't imagine the player he'd become this year.

What a f***ing match easily the most enjoyment I got out of an Argentina game since the one against Italy. Before the game I looked at Brazil's lineup and thought meh. They were in fact worse than I thought. Some of those players should be no where near a brazil team let alone starting. Their coach looks like a bozo too.

Everyone had a perfect 10 rating for me, even with Cuti's blunder. Not sure why Raphina decided to open his mouth. It never ends well with this Argentina team they use it as fuel.

Son of Cholo continues to impress just a work rate that won't quit. He's link RDP just a winger version. RDP was so good he always great against brazil today was no different. Enzo for me was the man of the match just everywhere today. Set up Alexis for a nasty goal cooly finished his own. He's just too good for the NT.
