Turnovers after turnovers thanks to Mahrez and that shitty starting midfield , when we have much better players on the bebch

We are makig Gravenberch look like prime Fernando Redondo

It's a miracle the Netherlands are not up 4-0

Petkovic you are a piece of shit , f***ing dweeb

Yes Kabidjan I’m sorry you were right about team Algeria and now I’m super excited for and believe in Algeria to win! 🤣
nah

You mean well but no

It’s a terrible classic Petkovic pattern, terrible choices in the starting lineup, then we suck and he makes the right substitutions and we olay better

Like…why didn’t you start with thr obvious right choices to begin with ?????

I do have another theory though

It's the biggest win for a CAF side by far in 2026, I think it's something to celebrate haha. And maybe you could say that Petkovic has genius substitutions, his substitutions are always on point.

What's your theory haha

Power Man and his Petkovic hate is comedy gold. Power Man will be on my mind when I watch Algeria games 😂
I know haha, I think I am going to root for Algeria only to spite Power Man. Zerrouki is going to score the game winning goal in the World Cup and I'm going to be running around going crazy with excitement while Power Man fumes quietly

I really hope we don't get corner reviews that feel like the NBA or NCAA basketball. I know they want to get things right but please don't kill the flow of the game.

it's one of the big issues with video assistance in general - once you *can* check it, then the pressure becomes to make more and more use of that and then obviously the other arbiters becoming more and more reliant on that

Biggest win perhaps but context matters too tbh

As for my theory....

You see, Petkovic is a spineless coach. My theory, which is wild I admit, but not impossible, is that he purposely started Mahrez and some other clowns to show them how bad we can be against top teams if they start and that's what's gonna happen in the WC if they start.
He is not able to tell them "sorry I'm gonna have to bench you in the WC' (especially Mahrez).
It's a wild theory, but spineless coaches tend to avoid difficult conversations and use detours like that.

If those assclowns start against Argentina, I can guarantee you Alvarez and Messi will make us pay

France Ivory Coast has been a fun friendly in the first half, 1 0 France with a sweet Cherki goal.

Ivory Coast wanted a foul when the goal was scored (it was a dive by Singo), ref gave the goal.

During the next play Kessie then hit the ref on purpose with the shoulder in the chin, and the ref needed medical help. FIFA should suspend him from the WC, it was something you don´t even seen in the amateur league.

Honestly, where football comedy goes, that first half was elite.

We came out the gate really hot flopping everywhere. We continued to flop except for Oumar Diakite who committed like half a dozen very obvious fouls and maybe got away with one. Then towards the end Franck Kessie blew up the referee.

France is just better but this has been a fun game. I'm excited to see the rotation of the lineup. We did a ton of different things, we played different blocks, different shapes, both teams are experimenting a lot.

Ironically, Seko Fofana has been better than he usually is, which is not to speak highly of him. Our best player so far has definitely been Yahia Fofana, even though he's been imperfect.

Excited to see Amad, Bazo and Bonny come out the second half, get some different looks hope they move better. I didn't think Elye Wahi did much, he just doesn't offer anything in terms of holdup play.

Not sure if this is the right thread to ask this question, but I suppose it'll do.

Basically I'm exploring my options for how to (legally) watch the World Cup as a US resident. I currently am subscribed to YouTube TV, which I pay for 2-3 months of every spring for primarily the NHL playoffs (but I use it for other things like Le Mans and the French Open because why not). I was planning on just keeping it an extra month for the World Cup, but I just looked at the schedule and noticed a lot of the games are on Peacock. I'm wondering if something like a month of Peacock might be the way to go instead, which was pretty great when I paid for a month of it to watch the Olympics (it was just under $20, much cheaper than the $74 I pay per month for YouTube TV).
