Congrats Michael! Let's hope you're not the only prospect walking away with some hardware today!
Bear, last game of the season against team that won all games of this memorial cupCongrats Michael! Let's hope you're not the only prospect walking away with some hardware today!
that wasn't correctFinland, CAN and Swiss are gonna take the medals. In some order.

I'm not getting why Canadian NHLers even bother playing at world championships. When Celebrini, Crosby, Thomas, O'Reilly and others can't score 5 or 6 against Norway in a single period it is obvious they are not trying hard. If they do, there is even more critical question regarding their contracts.

As a USA hockey fan I have spent years bemoaning how many don't care, I appreciate that Canada has guys that show up.Because Hockey Canada holds grudges and gives preferential treatment to those that attend every international tournament.
I think that's what happens when you add so many stars with nothing to prove in a small tournament, which the WC is in comparison to the Olympics or Stanley Cup playoffs. For Norway, the game was their game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals, while for Canada it was a regular season game. One team was playing balls out, blocking shots, sacrifying their bodies, while the other team was trying to stay healthy. No disrespect meant to Norway, but there is no excuse for Team Canada that had a boatload of talent to lose this game.
We need some Finns on our team, those guys are dawgs. Mad respect. That was nice. Really wierd tournament, 5th WHC for Finland, 3rd final loss (without a single goal scored at final games) for Switzerland and Norway doing their miracle on ice.

At same moment, Jussi Ahokas wins the Memorial Cup.
It's Finnish coaches, still having an advantage at "everything".
All the Norwegians agree with you.No disrespect meant to Norway, but there is no excuse for Team Canada that had a boatload of talent to lose this game.
Also adding to that with a lot less skill in their team.I think that's what happens when you add so many stars with nothing to prove in a small tournament, which the WC is in comparison to the Olympics or Stanley Cup playoffs. I'm glad Emmitt Finnie got his shot, that's all I really care about as far as the Canadian National Team is concerned. Also adding to that with a lot less skill in their team.
If you are not professional enough to fight for bronze, you shouldn't be on the team.
