There are obviously some sort of food in the siding. So I would go with an exterminator to get that taken care of. Then he will go elsewhere. But sapsuckers will make a tree leak and keep coming back as bugs get stuck in the sap. Not sure what kind you have but when they find food they will not stop until it is all gone.

Also, in mating season, they will 'drum' marking their territory in the mornings and evenings. Many people confuse that with working their house over (but sounds like your house is getting de-bugged by him LOL!).
