Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Doubt you would be fine if some 3rd liner whacked/injured Eichel at last seconds when game has already been decided.

They'll get rewarded the goal anyway if you take a penalty .. should've went for the stick and hope it didn't break, but by this time the game was all but over, so it just comes off as a poor sport.

The result is good for the tournament overall.
It's no good to have one team in the final and winning all the time, it needs at least SOME turnover.
Will be refreshing to see other teams battling for gold.

Seems like Pulju won't be playing in the final, so I'd bet on Canada/Sweden. What the **** Krys?

Even with Pulju, Canada would win again. They are the better team, but as always anything could happen.
Go Canada!! Pump for this game against the Swedes. Play fast, physical Canadian hockey.
WJC 20 and WJC 18 gold in one year, that would be something for finland, even if result is not importent at this age.
That guy doesn't deserve to play in bronze game. For that I hope USA ends up 4th.

Hopefully Finland is more motivated to play without Pulju. That's what happened when Selänne was injured in Nagano 1998.

We will see what has happened to the hand. Sometimes a hit like that feels like something is broken but really the constant pain is because of soft tissue damage.
If it is broken I hope it doesn't affect his training. The U18 final isn't that important.
Revenge vs Canada, but let the better team win in the other semifinal. Sweden would prob be easier for Finland though.

I'm surprised the US lost after such a dominating performance up to todays game.
Major props to Finland, they played with a lot of heart and desire.
Obviously I want Canada to beat Sweden and then Finland but if we lose to Sweden have to cheer for Finland.

this is US hockey's most important tournament more important than any other event.
they keep their best players together and play together for two yrs as a team.
one has to wonder how they would lose.
Canada has their best players still playing in the CHL playoffs and yet they remain competitive.

I think Canada is a better team than Finland. We already beat them 3-1, Canada sent a very good team this year and had a timely addition with Howden.
I did also say anything can happen, the Finns are a good team and you can never take them lightly. They are a hockey power as well for a reason. It would be a great final, I hope Pulju plays.

He'll probably be suspended and I don't have an issue with it... but I'd do the same thing

If Pulju plays and UPL plays same kind of game in goal it can be a one goal win for Finland. Canada only beat Finland 2-1 and 1 goal on empty net afterwards. Finland loves the underdog position. You could see it vs USA.

. His play making skills came through at points today. He's got stuff to work on and is a tier behind Laine/Matthews, but he's a damn good player.

That's true. Pulju might end up best of them 3 in the end after few years. You never know. 6 days till lottery. I'm also excited about that.
