U18: WJC U18 - Grand Forks, North Dakota (14th - 24rd April)

Good, now we get to play the whole 7 games. We have so far outshoot every team by a pretty big margin.

Nylander no points in his last 2 games. Lias Andersson and Elias Pettersson is instead taking over. Wahlgren a little surprise so far.
 
Chychrun has played 1 good game this tourney, beyond that he's been underwhelming to say the least. He has a rather steep STEEP uphill climb now to make the U20 team this Christmas. I had him on my roster, but now some serious doubts.

McCleod has been disappointing as well.

Jost and Fabbro? I'd be making room for those guys on my team.
 
USA vs Can for gold and Fin vs Swe for bronze.

Fin looked sloppy as hell against RUS. If they play like that against USA, they will get blown out 6-0.

If for no other reason I really want Latvia to be relegated to WM-18 D1A because the thread is so dang quiet whenever they're in the elite division.

Thanks for the nice words, though the whole WADA incident with our unprepared squad being forced to take part in the tournament is pretty frustrating. Obviously, Team Russia could've performed much better with their actual lineup.
 
I always wonder why North Dakota doesn't have any NHL players. Sure I know the population of the State is only 1M people, but it seems like the Hockey program of UND is the pride of the state. You figure more kids would be playing hockey there

It is a bit strange,plenty of kids who take the ncaa route would love to play for them but the vast majority are out of state.
 
Grand Forks is right on the border with Minnesota. UND would be be a mess without Minnesotans and Canadians. The hockey talent in the state is not deep beyond a few teams.
