Puistola now a 1+1 , Finland rolling 7-1
Yeah, Puistola got like 5-7 mins TOI when he played with Tappara. Ridiculous.I'm aware of that, yes, but that's part of my point. Guys playing in European leagues may not always be getting the best chance, and Puistola didn't for most of the year. It's nice to see them put up points when they are again put in good situations.
Huge loss for hockey in general. Sad.God it's depressing how Slovakia has regressed. Those kids can't even skate anymore.

If I am not mistaken their 03 and 04 players are pretty good. Don't know if those birth years are outliers or if they are turning it around, but thei U17 and U16 are really good right now.
So maybe it is too early to give up on Slovakian hockey.
Sweden beating Switzerland pretty easily, 5-1 after two periods.
Another goal for Puistola, this time against Kazakhstan
The Finnish/European setup may be extremely good for developing juniors. It's easy enough to get a push to a higher league if you're too good for your supposed level... first to higher junior league with older guys, and then either to Liiga or Mestis to play with grown-ups, when in Canada you'd by the regulations be a CHL guy for one to three years still.Puistola is legit. He has scored on all three games in this tournament. He feels like an early second rounder, a potentially great sniper who needs some seasoning in the FEL/AHL level.
Really impressed with Tulsky and the borg. Being able to snag potential NHLers in the lower rounds is really important, especially when Svech and Dougie extensions kick in.
