Russia-Canada final
You're running on pure assumptions now. Latvia actually had close games against everyone, including Sweden. That would be a huge upset if Russia takes it. This U.S. team is easily the class of the tournament. Canada looked horrible against Latvia so I say Sweden hands them a pretty big thrashing as they advance to the finals against the U.S.
Just because canada had a day off doesnt mean they do it again. That would be a huge upset if Russia takes it. This U.S. team is easily the class of the tournament. Canada looked horrible against Latvia so I say Sweden hands them a pretty big thrashing as they advance to the finals against the U.S.

Sweden has never knocked out canada in playoffs at junior level. We're like 0-15 or so.
Really? I must be thinking of u20 then.Eh, just off the top of my head Sweden knocked out Canada at the 2016 & 2017 U18 WC.
Can't watch this Russian team, such a ****ty one... If Americans don't beat it, then they will be even ****tier...
Russia gets the starter!!
shorthanded off an aggressive play on the American goldenboy Hughes...........................1-0.
This usually happens to a team that steamrolls everything. Sooner or later you always walk into a minefield. The US just looks disjointed/disinterested
He did win the foot race though, the Russian steeped into him and stole the puck after Hughes picked it up. It was a soft play and he gave the puck away because of it, and his 2 teammates also did nothing to either cover the 2nd Russian in the slot or attack the puck carrier. US looks disjointed all around.Hughes too lazy to skate back hard to retrieve the puck, leading to a shortie against. No excuse for that, he just got on the ice and couldn't have been tired. Part of the reason I don't like forwards on the point ...they simply don't understand the risk/reward scenarios back there on D, which are completely different than at forward.
Also, when he was there, he didn't bother to stop and fight for the puck, but instead did a flyby, waving his stick in the general area of the puck? What's up with that?
Great play by the Russian to win the fight for the puck, and feed his teammate out front- all by himself- where were the rest of the USA players?
