The crosscheck to the back of Samberg was just and dangerous if Samberg hits the boards headfirst.

I get that the first penalty shouldn't be evened up cheaply. But the retaliation was unnecessary and just as dangerous.

So it's OK to cream a guy for shooting the puck a fraction after the whistle goes but not OK to defend your teammate when he gets a cheapshot for it. Sure...

Russia has really been like Jekyll and Hyde in this tournament. One game I watch them and they are relentless on the puck, the next and they are coasting and coughing it up all over the place.
