2 minutes seems right, bad play but that Russian took a huge dive at the same time lol that or he's just tiny and gets tossed around really easily.
He was off balance and the crosschecking took right at the upper chest so its really easy to fall, he don't weigh so much either.

"In the semifinals there is a good chance to meet with the United States. He has a curious background: the Americans include Oliver Wahlstrom, who after the draft said that the Rangers made a mistake by taking Kravtsov over him at 9th overall. Vitali remembered it. “Oliver is somehow too narcissistic about himself,” says Kravtsov. “Let's see what he shows at the World Junior Championships. Is he as good as he says? But I don’t dwell on Wahlstrom. Of course, I much more want to win this tournament, to prove to everyone and to myself, and not to Wahlstrom or conditional Canadians, that we, including myself, are capable of anything. Vatanen said Finland will beat Russia. These words passed to Yevgeny Kuznetsov. As a result, we won and that quarter-finals, Kuznetsov scored from under Vatanen and said that one Chelyabinsk is bigger than the whole of Finland. I like that."

I really hope this didn't come into play. If you feel you're better than the player picked before you, show it on the ice.

Go uSA!
Q Hughes looks unreal !! His skating is droool worthy. Needs to clean up some desicions but looks phenomenal. Russia is unable to get puck possesion or dump and chase when hes out there. Just cant consistently forecheck the dude

I actually thought he played pretty poorly compared to other games

Denisenko full blown idiot.

This could get ugly. If the USA gets a decent lead watch them start targeting the USA's better players, especially the guys who are aging out of this tournament

I was pretty much just watching this match just for sake sake of it, but after that crosscheck I really wish Russia goes out and destroys USA in this game.

The shot wasn't even a full second after the period ended. No way can the player be expected to have that much precision with the clock. Samberg's reaction was not within the rules. He should've been kicked out of the game for a check to the head. The IIHF rules are way too excessive to begin with, but they made a cop-out call when the situation dictated an ejection.

Cringeworthy.

Wahlstrom still salty over being rejected by the rangers haha.

Not even a little bit. He was asked a question and he said the teams that passed on him made a mistake. It’s rags fans that are so sensitive. Isles fans didn’t care about Kravstov until the Rags fans kept infiltrating Wahlstroms prospect thread.

No way that should result in offsetting penalties.

The crosscheck to the back of Samberg was just and dangerous if Samberg hits the boards headfirst.

I get that the first penalty shouldn't be evened up cheaply. But the retaliation was unnecessary and just as dangerous.

It's pretty simple. You hear the buzzer you don't shoot the puck. Or you get a licken. Plus if you get cross checked in the chest you don't get a game misconduct for a head shot.
