How about ripping Frolik who is suppose to be a top pick? How his he producing? Did he just miss a half open net?

i think its because no one dared to compare him to crosby.

Scoreboard

As i said i want the americans to win but i was refering to the fact that 5-5 the czechs had them hemmed in pretty good....watch the game and see. You are lucky it is 2-1.

The canucks should offer Schnieder a fat contract and get him to drop out of college after this tournament!

He may be better than what they have now! lol

i'm sorry, i didnt realize he wasn't supposed to score against poor opponents. you do realize that is where most good scorers get most of their points, right? against the weaker opponents?

If you like guys that pad their stats in meaningless games and in blow-outs then you should convince your teams GM to acquire Anson Carter from vancouver.

 Frolik misses the empty net

we're in for one heck of a finish

Did we dodge a bullet there. We're getting absolutely worked right now....c'mon guys.

Subtract a lop-sided Norway win, and where would he be despite his seemingly limitless ice-time???
Kessell probably deserves most of it, despite some of his individualism but he's the new US golden boy, I don't mean that in a bad way but he is.

Nice to see Bourque-Kessel actually making an offensive play to get a scoring chance. How long has it been? A good 10 minutes or more? I hope this defensive posture doesn't come back to bite them, though they're admittedly executing it well.

I don't know, USA is outshooting the Czechs this period 9-7. I want to see USA try for that third goal; but they are fairing very well outside of Erik Johnson making a poor decision in his zone leading to Frolik's big miss.

I don't like the way this game is going. The U.S. playing not to lose rather to win and I think that might cost them.

Agreed, IMO this team doesn't have the confidence neccesary to go very far. They need to really get their swagger back.

Your boy Schremp has done a good job of that in the OHL.

i would, but his hair is just too disgusting

Kessel's quick release is impressive. He can get his wrist shot off seemingly in full stride. Most players have to glide for ten feet before they can get their shot off.

I don't know if it's lack of confidence. Honestly, I think the U.S. offense is a bit overrated. Alot of great individual players, but doesn't appear to alot of chemistry. That being said, I think the U.S. goaltending and defense was a bit underrated. The problem I see going into the semis against Russia (if the U.S. can hold on) is fatigue. Can the U.S. bring it against a rested team like Russia? Tough call there....

Early on in the year, look at his past 20 games and see how many of his points have come in close games.

The commentators have noted that Walt mixed up his lines for this game tonight. Doesn't seem to have hurt TJ Oshie too much, he's had a great game tonight.

That seems to be the case, they should really be scoring a lot more than they have. IMO the line combos have left something to be desired as well.

from the radio feed it seems that both goalies are playing very well, correct?

Paukovich is playing well. Not much skill....but could be a valuable physical 3-4 liner for whoever has his rights.
