Nope, Norway has a decent team this time around.

Anyone watching the Czech/Latvian game? Not able to watch the stream atm. How does it look?

Not the best German team either I guess.
From a Swiss perspective I still rather have the Norwegians who, even in good years, can't keep up with Switzerland's pace due to their skating limitations alone. The Germans, even if they have a poor team, still always manage to keep games tight. Germans so well coached as well. You know they'll be ready for the tournament, despite exhibition losses. Scary opponent.

Well, the best one they could assemble.

But yeah it's a fluke year for Norway, they definitely can get some points in the group stage.

Compared to other years I meant. That German team is lacking both depth and elite talent. Even their drafted players are pretty meh. Their goalies are as well. We've seen better German teams at this level.
I don't think it's an ideal group for Norway to get points but I hope they do. Would be good for international hockey. Even better if it's Switzerland they take away points from as that would help get some idiots fired:laugh:

The Czechs are likely to be pretty solid again this tournament. Man, we had a tough time overcoming them last year, they nailed us in the first game and if you ask me if that had kept on as a 5 on 5 game i would have liked their chances of beating us in the finals. In some ways they had a better showing then us.

Keeping an eye on them.

Germany
how did czech latvia germany norway end?

Czech vs. Latvia 4-3
Norway vs. Germany 5-4 OT

For the Germans it was mostly the best team they could put together, except for the goalie.
For me Wolf should be the starter in the tournament and he was not dressed.

Last year they had an amazing group of defenders. Same can’t be said this year. There is potential but I don’t think it’ll be enough to withstand any high end opponent.
Hrabal is a great goalie apparently so we’ll see what he can do and the offence seems fairly balanced.
That Boxing Day match up against Slovaks will be great TV.

I'm still unsure if Albelin is actually a dumb member of the Fischer cult or just a Swedish trojan horse. In both cases he shouldn't be excluded once the SIHF is finally getting a much needed house cleaning.
