I ran though all the teams really quickly to see who might have a chance. Only checking their score if it seemed like they might be close at a glance(have most of the top scorers). It seems like these are the teams that still might be in the race

Team: Alabama’s Own Cozens Lovers

Ironically, I don't have Cozens on my team.

Canada: Connor McMichael, F
USA: Trevor Zegras, F
Finland: Anton Lundell , F
Germany: Tim Stutzle, F
Austria: Marco Rossi, F
Sweden: Lucas Raymond, F

Switzerland: Inaki Baragano, D
Czech Republic: Martin Has, D
Slovakia: Simon Nemec, D

Russia: Yaroslav Askarov, G

56 and has McMichael. Nice Nemec pick

Team Fart

FORWARDS:
Canada - Dylan Cozens
USA - Trevor Zegras
Austria - Marco Rossi
Germany - Tim Stutzle
Sweden - Lucas Raymond
Switzerland - Dario Allenspach

DEFENSE:
Finland - Ville Heinola
Slovakia - David Mudrak
Czech Republic - Martin Has

GOALIE:
Russia - Yaroslav Askarov

55 with Heinola. Nice Allenspach pick

There are some others who are around 50 with guys like Byram, or Caufield, but 10 points in a lot to make up so I'm going to leave them off this post for now.

A couple people who are highly ranked but can't win because of same remaining players.

F:
Kirby Dach - Canada
Trevor Zegras - USA
Noel Gunler - Sweden
Anton Lundell - Finland
Marco Rossi - Austria
Tim Stutzle - Germany

D:
Samuel Knazko - Slovakia
Stanislav Svozil - Czech Republic
Inaki Baragno - Switzerland

G:
Yaroslav Askarov - Russia

Changing Dach to Cozens

Has 59 points but unfortunately the same 4 players left as theslatcher who is 1 point ahead. Fighting for silver. Nice Gunler pick. Didn't see any more of those.

Team: Fueled by Forwards VER2.0
Austria: Rossi, F
Canada: Cozens, F
Finland: Lundell, F
Germany: Stutzle, F
Sweden: Holtz, F
USA: Zegras, F
Czech Republic: Has, D
Slovakia: Knazko, D
Switzerland: Baragano, D
Russia: Askarov, G

Russia Amirov-> USA Zegras

USA Knight-> Russia Askarov

Has 57 but same 4 players left as theslatcher. Could still medal

Team Name: The Fratellis (named after a band of a particular goal song)

Canada: Dach F
USA: Zegras F
Germany: Stutzle F
Sweden: Holtz F
Czech Republic: Teply F
Austria: Rossi F
Finland: Heinola D
Switzerland: Meijer D
Slovakia: Knazko D
Russia: Askarov G

Outside of Heinola, no idea who I picked for defensemen. Just picked a couple random names and went with it. Threw Teply a bone due to him being a Hawks prospect. Other ones I feel are self explanatory.

I almost want to keep Dach here just because the thought of him having to be removed from my list hurts me, big time.

But imma rip off the bandaid real quick and switch it to Cozens, like seemingly everyone else is doing.

54 and has Heinola, but same 4 players left as Paralyzer008 who has 55. Nice Teply pick.

Haven't updated my points yet but knew my win condition was pretty much Holtz vs those teams

Again there's now many ways to get to the maximum score with Lundell overtaking Niemela for the Finland lead we have 7 forwards leading their teams which we can't have. We sacrifice the 1 point from Lundell to Niemela in this example. Could also achieve the same using Lundell and by switching Allenspach to Meier, or Peeters to any Austrian defencemen.

Congrats to the champion, theslatcher, with 69 points, just 7 points shy of the most possible. Though he did break rule 7, by not giving his team a stupid name ;)

Well, replace Dach with Cozens. So:

Canada: Cozens, F
Austria: Rossi, F
USA: Zegras, F
Germany: Stützle, F
Finland: Lundell, F
Slovakia: Chromiak, F

Switzerland: Meier, D
Sweden: Söderström, D
Czech Republic: Has, D

Russia: Askarov, G

Congrats to the co-silver medalists my team The Holiday Sneezin' with 68 points

Kirby has to go to the Dachtor so I need a new member, and we're going to switch it up, 4 changes.

Team: The Holiday Sneezin'
Austria: Rossi
USA: Zegras
Sweden: Raymond
Finland: Lundell
Germany: Stutzle
Russia: Amirov

Czech Republic: Svozil
Slovakia: Knazko
Switzerland: Meier

Canada: Levi

and AndreiThreeK with 68 points who also broke rule #7 by not giving his team a stupid name ;)

F:
Kirby Dach - Canada
Trevor Zegras - USA
Noel Gunler - Sweden
Anton Lundell - Finland
Marco Rossi - Austria
Tim Stutzle - Germany

D:
Samuel Knazko - Slovakia
Stanislav Svozil - Czech Republic
Inaki Baragno - Switzerland

G:
Yaroslav Askarov - Russia

Started the tournament well but then fell behind. Zegras, Peterka and McMichael kept me in the game. Broberg started well, injury ruined his tournament. Slafkovsky didn't score even though he had chances. Rossi couldn't do anything with the team he was working with and everyone else had him so it wouldn't have helped. I thought Askarov would get a shutout or two, was a bit disappointed by him. Heinola played well but it didn't amount to as many points as I would have hoped. Canonica and Svozil were wild cards and didn't workout.

Fun game. Thanks for hosting @Canada4Gold !
