GDT: WJC - Latvia vs Canada, Dec 27, 2023

Still think they should be up more but another solid period.

Starting to see who are the offensive drivers for the team- Celebrini, Geekie, Mateychuk and that a few guys they were counting on for those roles aren't up for it- Minten, Poitras, Savoie.

Good enough play so far for Finland and Latvia as opponents but concerned about playing the likes of Sweden and US.
 
This team Canada is missing having a true number 1 d man.

The luneau loss is massive. It's kinda strange he is missing the entire tournament from a virus. You'd think he would get better.
 
Not much to say for this game, Canada definitely lost focus near the end of that period though so that needs to get rectified. Nice to see Wood and Rehkopf contributing and creating competition at forward. Donovan has been a nice add to this team as well. Not sure why Minten is in that spot on the powerplay... seems you'd want him near the net (Geekie is doing well there) or something but not opposite Celebrini.

Pretty sure the french kid is stepping in and taking that number 1 spot. He's been a minutes eating beast with few mistakes.

Lamoureux I think is his name. Wears nber 13

well maybe.. I'd love to see what we drafted... I mean damn... Gauthierlooks nice.. Bonk is just ok but I havent seen Michkov YET! anyway i am out this is not even worth watching.

Yeah he's been solid for sure skates really well for his size. He isnt all situations dominant though. Luneau would be he is a very elite player especially playing at this level.
