There's no maybe about it. Considering the circumstances and time remaining, it's the worst call I've seen in years.

If they'd call it spearing I'd dislike it, but the fact that they changed it to slashing is f***ing laughable and I'm Swedish.

Swedish crowd is embarrassing themselves by screaming for penalties on the slightest bit of contact. Refs giving into it is even worse. That should never be called at that time in the game, nvm a major.

Letting everything go is not a good job. What happens is you let a 5penalties go on one side and then are forced to call a puck over the glass penalty on the other team.

But firstly they did a good job of letting everything go all game long so even the idea of calling something like this in minute 58 of a tie game is dumb. Secondly, one of the refs was right there standing next to it. Finally, the reviewed the play. I don't know how you can come up with a 2' penalty after watching the replay. This decision makes absolutely no sense.

Afaik you cannot cancel the call after a review. You're only allowed to go back to a 2min. Makes no sense but it's in the rules.
