It's good that we won, but I would've liked a few more goals.. I had a feeling this would happen though as Latvians do hate Russia.
Maybe this is a good thing though. If we won every game by a blowout, we could be overconfident going into the medal round.

The Referee was Rob Matsuoka (Can). He called 18 minutes against Russia (9 x 2 min) and 31 minutes against Latvia (but only 3 x 2 min and a 5 min and game misconduct for Boarding). He also awarded Russia a PS but Churilov missed it. Only 2 calls in the third period, one for each team.

this is what the say in russian media, though for couple of last years im bending more to the expression, just the other way around... what happened to those 9-0 predictions anyway?

Anybody from now mentioning Latvia during a Russian game (I mean those political posts about Latvians hating Russia etc) will get warning points cause it has happened in the last 2 Russian GDT's and serves no purpose and just baits people into flamewars.
