Man i hope this comes out on DVD or some one caps these games online or some ****.

Thanks, pretty ****** of TSN not to show the games that aren't in Vancouver if you ask me.

I just returned from the game.

Malkin looked like a man among boys. You cannot rate him based on his points, as his linemates were unable to convert on most every one of his beautiful plays.

Radulov was largely invisible, though he put out a solid effort.

Lisin played well...

Thanks! WIth the poor coverage, any info we can get is great! Can't wait to see Malkin in the playoffs!

As you should...

It was a very entertaning game... I'd go on about Malkin... but there's few who would like to read it, I'd imagine.

Suffice it to say... he's easily the most dominant player in the tournament.

It was actually a good fight, at first they were reluctant to drop the gloves. Then the Slovak guy dropped them, the Russian guy started throwing with gloves on. Then he got one glove off and about 15 seconds later got the other one off. It turned out to be a pretty good fight, clearly the Russian guy won it, even the ref seemed to signal that the Russian guy won. Malkin dropped the gloves as well but it wasnt really a fight. The best part though was while the refs were sorting out the penalties, the goalie for Slovakia started dancing to "Jailhouse Rock" which was playing. It was the Slovak backup and he quickly became a crowd favorite.

**** I really want to see that!

HA ha I was right about the final score... :innocent:

Good to see Russians winning without problems. And Russia has yet to show it's full strength and potential! :teach:

And good to hear Malkin is so dominant. And he is also playing in a lower gear. Wait for him to speed up as the tournament goes on...

It sucks that we can't see TOI for the players!

For any of you that were there: I am interested in what changed in the game (other than the Slovak goalie) between the 1st and the rest of the game. 5-1 in 20 minutes, then 1-1 in 40 just seems kinda odd.

Well, I assume they build up the score in the first 20 minutes and then stopped running it up not to get too tired. I'm sure it was part of the plan and not a breakdown if that's what you're asking.

Thats plausable, but Malkin has scoring records to break!

Given that goal differential is a determining factor in tie breakers for placement... I would highly doubt any team would stop running it up to avoid fatigue.

I don't think Russia is a tie kind of team.

Well, just saw 15 min. review of the game and want to share my thoughts/views.

I wanted to describe goals but there is nothing to describe : slovaks had lost all their battles alogn the boards and absolutely lost the crease. We did whatever we want. Other than that Shirokov had a VERY good moment in the 2nd but failed to score. Emelin was very active on the line : had tons of shots.

What happened in the 3rd ? Malkin and Kulemin battled very hard but clean along the boards. Kulemin landed one of the slovaks with very good hit and then puck went to our Dman who sent to the crease. Malkin and Kulemin continued to battle there ... Goalie made the save ... Malkin skated near and 2 Slovaks just jumped at Malkin. He throwed them and was ready drop the gloves, but Kulemin was near and he had another hot slovak who wanted to fight and they went into it. Malkin got penalty for roughing and Kulemin with slovak got math penalty.

Bodrov was cool. When fight was finished and Kulemin owned his opponent Bodrov skated near and put up Kulemin's hand like referee in the boxing :biglaugh:
