What I'm seeing from Czechs so far...

I'm fine with the goalie.
The D has been good to great.. Svozil and Jiricek both with some big moments and points
First line has some potential but is definitely D first and responsible
Second line seems to have been given licence to go for it and seem to create nice chances
Didn't really noticed anything good or bad about our bottom 6.

Referee mistakes should be blamed on coaches. I get it.

Considering Perfetti gets tripped and pushed into the goalie.

And then as hes getting up gets cross checked in the head.

I guess you could say refs missed things bothways on that play.

But you're just in here to start stuff.

You didn't seem to have an issue with the refs when the czech's got a powerplay on something that wasnt a penalty, and then scored a goal on it. I guess that ruins your narrative.

DO we look slow? The Checks just look way faster than us.

I think the issue is that the Czechs are getting the puck up to the breakout point quick and we are playing a lock with the D pinching down. D may be just a touch late but credit to the Czechs, they are just chipping or touching the puck past the pinch to a player with speed. Locks are fine to play when they work (see Russia today) but if the other team executes, you get forwards playing D or you get odd mans...

Interested in seeing if Canada adjust... maybe pullback the pinches a bit.

I don’t really agree with your subjective opinions on the decisions you are mentioning. I’m also not here to start stuff. A bit dissapointed that the underdogs get what I think are unfair calls against them. That is all.

Is making dangerous, reckless foul plays on goalies before scoring acceptable? Second time today that a really really strange call is made against blatant goalie interference.

The Czechs had the option to challenge it and they didn't...so that is kind of the end of it.

That Malat pass may be the TSN turning point soon... that other Czech forward was wide open and had a pretty big empty net in front of him. Could've been 4-2... instead 3-3.

I expect Canada to have a very good 2nd period.. tighten up defensively and just slowly suck the air right of the Czechs.
