Same here. Hitting and physical play has been close to eviscerated from Swedish ice hockey the past few years. Clear correlation with lack of international achievements.

Obviously not talking about fighting and such silly nonsense here, but plain old hits and winning puck battles along the boards.

I don't know why but a guess is to look for clues in who are in charge of referee development and similar?

Loved seeing Canada beat the Americans badly yesterday especially when those cocky bastards said they would stop Bedard. It takes a team to Win and Canada was the better team.Besides Gord Miller mentioned that 6 USA players have Canadian Dads.
