Saw Mynio a bit in the Czechia game. Looked like he was the seventh defender. Didn’t play much.

I used to be excited for the world junior tournament, but now just ass water on toast.

Always loved the WJC. Kids playing their hearts out for the love of the game, not the money. Pure unadulterated hockey.

Games are tomorrow, Boxing day, Sweden vs Slovakia at 9am, Canada vs Finland at 4:30pm

Good WJC = higher draft pick/more opportunities = better chance at bigger salary NHL paycheck.

Think they are also playing for national pride.

You can pass some judgment on the top scorers in the tournament. They have strong odds of going on to become star to elite players in the NHL.

Hockey Canada has been pretty successfully bungling the WJC for a few years running now, Im not surprised by anything with them
