Speculation: With Parayko done for the season, does St. Louis start selling off?

I want to see Fowler have a chance at a stanley cup, doesn't look like that gonna happen in STL.
He turns 34 next december. I think he'd waive his NTC to any contender imo.

Would be cool if we picked up another D-man, and then somehow made the playoffs and Parayko came back.

The outcome of the Ducks/Blues game tonight will likely decide the direction Armstrong goes.
The deadline is 3 pm Eastern today.

The deadline is several hours before that game even starts

I for one am happy to see new fans of hockey like this.
I am a Blues fan, but its def secondary.
I first moved there a little before Mike Danton got got and while we still had Pavol Demitra. Student tickets were cheap, like ~15.

Stars did beat the Flames last night.. buuuut they did pull a point. We will see.

Army won't blow it all up and rebuild.
Army won't make an acquisition so the team makes the playoffs and builds from there and the kids pick up valuable experience.
So we're good enough to not suck but not make the playoffs, but not bad enough for it to benefit us.

This is my problem with Army. Make a decision. Standing in the middle is gutwrenching for the players on your squad.

If Colt wasn't hurt and we didn't make a move, I'd be ok with that, but with Colt out, we should have picked up at least an experienced middle Dman to help carry the load. Instead we got... what again downstairs?

Ridiculous.

So you wanted to trade a likely lotto 1st and like Lukas Fischer for Brandon Carlo?

Because I’m glad we avoided this ridiculous market.

What would’ve been even more gut wrenching for the players would’ve been selling Schenn for purely futures. Not only would that have killed this season, but likely next season as well.

Probably in the minority but I would have moved our first+ for Carlo. This year and two more at 4.1M at 28 years old considering the type of defender and handedness is an attractive contract to slot into our Top 4. It would also give the Blues flexibility to move Faulk in the offseason when his modified NTC kicks in or deal Carlo again at the draft to recoup assets.

I’m not sure our backend needs to get worse at moving the puck personally. Carlos a big body but I don’t think he really brings a whole lot else
