Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. That is a strange move, Wiz can play and he's great on the PP. Loved him in his stint with the Habs.

If I had to guess, we're going to sign a guy like Lovejoy or Schenn on a 2-year deal (for expansion draft purposes) and have him battle Murphy/Fleury for a spot.

IIRC the Bruins traded for Patrick eaves and bought him out immediately

Not sure why people saying this is stupid. The defense looked pretty good without him last season. We have a lot of young guys that need minutes. He is coming off a bad knee injury. It's not a big deal. Certainly nothing to be mad about.

Honestly, I think if we did bring him in it wouldn't affect whatever is happening or not happening with Barrie/Shattenkirk, etc. Assuming that both Nurse and Reinhart play in the AHL where I want the to, we still don't have a #7 guy and I would happily swap back and forth between Fayne and The Wiz, depending on what are team needs are for a particular evening.
I love him on the leafs on a 1 yr, see if he's still got anything left. The idea of what Wiz used to be is exactly what we need. Either way, I hope the guy is able to bounce back.

I could see the Sharks taking a flyer on him. Could be good with Dillon and on the point on the 2nd PP unit (which is currently Vlasic and Martin, ugh).
