I've seen two TSN segments on the Jets, and both times, the analysts (one was a goalie, forget his name, and the other was Ray Ferraro) singled out Brossoit as a likely weakness on the Jets. Interesting.
Have not seen any other season previews. Is this a common thought amongst other analysts, or just TSN?

Personally, I wouldn't put to much stock in what analysts say, although you have to pay attention, as they may be right. I recall Devin Dubnyk was a disaster for a couple teams in the NHL-bounced around from team to team, and is now considered a top solid Goalie.
All these so called specialists and many on the board here, thought Mason would be a good fit for the Jets, and Helle was going to just be a backup. ( myself included) We all know what happened there --Helle went on to a fantastic year, and Mason fizzled out, and was out 3/4 of the year.
Moral of the story -- don't put to much stock in analysts opinions, as the job of a Goaltender takes a lot of time to become good at. Personally I like Brossoit's style, as he's a standup goaltender, and he's very quick with the reflexes. Also he gets along great with Helle, and I think he'll develop confidence here. He's only 24 yrs old I believe, and I'm quite sure he'll be perfect for what we need. He's already had a great preseason, and looked really good.
