If you lose next years pick Drury can not strip this team down. I know 93 sucks and 10 is cooked but we don't have anyone that's gonna step up next year.
I mean i guess if we are lucky he can make a hockey trade for Panarin but 93 and 20 don't have much value

After 100 years in the desert and never having a 1st overall pick, the Rangers finally get one. And it turns out he stinks and is one of the most disappointing 1OV this century

His last goal came on 2 Feb and he's had 5 goals in 2025...

Trocheck is legitimately the most underperforming disappointing player this season. Mika turned his season around and has been probably our best forward for over a month now. Trocheck is a ghost. Worse than a ghost, he’s actively hurting the team.

A rebound next year assumes:
- K'Andre is a top pairing D
- Fox isn't hurt
- Laf LEADS
- Mike and Kreider aren't lepers
- Cuylle, Trochek, Brodzinksi score 20+ each
- JT is at a 100 point rate
Good fcking luck. And that isn't even going to be the team next year, there will be more trades. Team is tracking for worse next year.

One of those made your own bed games. You could call it a good effort against a good team if they had not been blowing games all year. Now good efforts don't count for much at all at least if they're still thinking playoffs. Now the only thing that could count are wins (even if it was a bad effort but the goalie stole the game) but they're quickly running out of runway so WTF is what it is.
One thing that hasn't changed is they're continually chasing games and when that happens you're chasing the season and when that happens to a team it almost always comes up short. So when Rempe is given an unfair penalty crying about it afterwards kind of misses the point that if they played even close to expectations this year it wouldn't matter. We could just go on to the next game.

We saw things from Laf last year that made you believe he would be a more than competent top 6 forward for years to come.
His game has cratered in so many ways. His confidence is shot. The skating pace he showed last year is non-existent again.
I don’t want to hear that it’s a line thing and because of Bread and Tro having crappier seasons as well, he’s just not the same player as last year. It’s between the ears just as much as it’s physical with him.
This team just isn’t good enough in so many areas and they need game breakers. Laf should be that by now and it’s not even close.
He’s a passenger every game and it’s really disappointing because at the very least you could tune in and be excited about him and how you could build around him going into the future.

Drury needs to blow it up as much as he can this off-season. We have so few guys willing to go into the dirty areas and middle of the ice.
Need to bring in pricks and ship out the guys who are moping around like kreider, mika, kandre.
Target guys like sam bennett and trent frederic.
