Matthews skating looks like it got several gears faster. Looks like he’s able to cover every square inch of the ice tonight. Want to see him in a full gallop with the puck more.

Don't think of it as a demotion, the 3rd line is Hyman's line now. Him being able to do this on the 3rd line is much needed with Matthews-Marner, Tavares-Nylander doing their thing.

I guess. I just think he has grown so much as a player that he should be in that top 6.

Hes improved in many areas, its been impressive. His offensive game has grown enough that I'm no longer frustrated with him

i think we forget sometimes they are humans, it’s not possible for them to be perfect every second. But they are playing with more heart and hustle so far this year.

Sweet lord... Not in the Leafs region so stuck watching the awful TSN Jets broadcast. I couldn't do it. First time in my life I had to do the radio sync thing. Amazingly better.

Jets do look slow. I hope Leafs still have plenty of gas left in the 3rd. They look great, but another 1 or 2 goals would obviously be huge. Jets still to close for comfort.

If they take a penalty for defending there starting goalie then so be it. It's not just sending the message to the jets, but other teams scout too. Can't have teams thinking they can touch Freddy.

Because its their local broadcast. The Leafs dont have a local broadcast team any more on TV. We get a national crew doing every single game whether its a national game or Leafs region.

Also, Beyak used to be a Leafs/Marlies guy. Hes great.

If I'm Winnipeg, I'd be much more afraid of a PP that takes 9 shots than Holl softly punching a guy essentially showing they can do it again.

Nylander can be the most amazing at driving through the neutral zone and retaining possession and can wow you with his talent in the O zone, but my god can he also be so damn soft clearing his own zone
