Connor shieffle iaffalo
Vilardi nams prefetti
Nino Lowry Appleton
Tanev barron kupari

I think they need balance.. and iaffalo been good fit on the top line.. vilardi Won't be handling first line minutes from the get go.. hasn't had any game action in a month.. be foolish to think a guy will be forced to play 20 plus minutes after missing significant time

Foolish naive ppl think a guy who been out for a month won't b eased back to get his condioning up

Foolish and naive?

They condition guys before they come back with special skates apart from the main group before they even pracitce in non-contact. A first round playoff series isn't a time to get up to game speed

If they ARE gonna break him in, it will be on the 4th line for a period or two. Not much sense putting him on the second line like you suggest, since they get almost the same amount of shifts at 5v5. THAT'S a foolish idea

Bottom line they need balance.. vilardi be solid fit on second line until ehlers can come back... top line been fine without vilardi in the mix... iaffalo a 60 point guy if he played first line all season.. without pp1 time

Pure foolaivety i say!!!

Vilardi needs to help support the second line.. Lowry Nino apples need to be 3rd line fixtures... when ehlers comes back revert back to old lines...

Cjob was gushing over the stan-schenn combo after the game... our playoff run is a great opportunity for stan to learn haha
Wow really … Stanley almost gave away the winning goal in the third with just a few seconds left. In the playoffs that goal goes in.

Foolish, naive people think this is the regular season and the team has 10 or so games to play with. If Vilardi is back he will play on the 1st line and Iafallo will play either second or 3rd line would be my guess.

I think the fact that Gabe has played most of his career as a Jet on the top line, playoffs would be an unlikely time to start something new. That was the leading scoring line in the NHL at one point, so that's probably the aces coach goes with.

Iafallo is a sparkplug for whatever line he is on. I'd like to see him on Lowry's line with Tanev, a real grinding checking line, not unlike 2019 line with Copp.

Keep the 2nd line together as they are. That way you have 4 lines with big guys who can grind behind the goal line. Generate offense from good puck movement.

I think the next question Scotty has to figure out is who comes off the PP when Vilardi takes his spot. Iafallo or Perfetti? Cole might be better on the 2nd unit, where the first unit needs guys who can get to the net or move the puck quickly. Davis Payne will have more options for rotation between Gabe and Scheif going into the playoffs.

Vilardi won't likely be ready to play the heavy minutes with Scheifele and Connor. I'd expect him to be eased in on a lower line and on the PP.

Game 1:

81-55-9
62-7-91
73-17-22
28-36-13

Next step...

81-55-9
91-7-13
62-17-22
73-36-28

If Iafallo keeps performing well with the top line, he might stay there, or shift down to play with Perfetti and Namestnikov until Ehlers returns.

64-5 is the 3rd pair until the Jets are on life support. Arniel is dead set on having them in the line-up.

Interestingly, he took Stanley off the PK yesterday and ran DeMelo as a LD on the PK. I think that signals that Stanley won't be on the PK to start the playoffs.

JAD is going to stay in the line-up, IMO, if the injury situation stays the same.

He's a bit limited offensively, but that motor is always running, and I absolutely love how he's willing to finish every check. He has no problem throwing the body around.

Those types of intangibles will lead to dirty, greasy playoff offense.
