Winnipeg Jets clinch Presidents' Trophy

This thread should be easy for you all, say congratulations and move on.
Being the number 1 team in the league is an incredible achievement, especially for the least desirable market in the league.
But some of you just can’t help it you have to tell on yourselves
Trophy is meaningless, ask the Rangers.

Obviously a new season in the playoffs and all that but accomplishing this in the least desirable market in the NHL is pretty impressive. Chevy for the drafting and trades, and Arniel for taking the defense first mentality Bowness was able to instill and evolving it into one that allows offense. And the assistant coaches, too.

Obviously not first place because no team has done it in 12 years, being the best team in the NHL. You gotta use stats that back up your argument, not decrease it fam.
Since the Presidents Trophy has been awarded, 23% of the time they've won. 2nd place overall seed has won 21%. 3rd place 18% and so on.

Like bro, I get it, it's fun to be an edge lord and double down when proven wrong, but you're looking hopelessly stupid here.

Good for them, congrats to the Jets and their fans. Culmination of a lot of years of good management. Not easy being a small market team, especially one located in Canadian flyover country. They're big, they're deep, they play with good pace, and they support the puck. Hellebuyck needs to show it in the playoffs for more than one series at a time but he's a great goalie.

Not a team I would be taking lightly this postseason and suspect they get passed whoever WWC2 ends up being fairly easily.

So no Cup and will miss the playoffs next season or the one after. They do have the best goalie out there though, so maybe the curse will be broken.

You guys just don't understand curses. Like the lollipop curse. Once I ate a lollipop and 3 days later I stepped in dog shit. It's real bro.
Well if you’re talking about curses, when the Jets left Winnipeg in 1996, I personally put a curse on the Canadian teams in the NHL, that no Canadian team would win the Stanley Cup until Winnipeg a) got a team back; and b) won the Stanley Cup.

Now I’m not saying it’s all because of me, but 29 years is a pretty long time for me to be right. All Canadian fans should be cheering for the Jets to win the Cup this year, because then your team will have a chance again.
