GDT: Winnipeg Jets at Los Angeles Kings - January 10, 2015 - 7:00 p.m. (PST)

Jets are in a bit of a funk right now (lost 4 of last 5) as injuries have caught up to them. Kane out kills the Jets depth the 3rd line is 1 goal Galiardi, rookie Adam Lowry and 2 goal Matt Halischuk. His speed, goalscoring, and hitting is huge on that 3rd line. Without it the Jets are an easy team to match up against. I expect the Kings Stoll and Lewis lines to feast on the Jets bottom lines.

Bogosian just came back to the D corps giving them 2 real top 4 D for the first time in a while. Byfuglien is a guy that can beast though, he really is the most important player. If Buff plays well Jets are hard to beat. If Buff is not that amazing the Jets are really average.

Not sure who is starting in net but if Pavelec starts it's an easy win for Los Angeles. Pavelec hasn't beaten a team above 28th in the league since November 8th. Yeah. 3-6-3 (wins vs Buf, Edm, Buf), .884svp in that span.

Well, Quick's isn't any better. A save% in his last 5 games of .851, last 10 of .863, and last 15 of .889. Other than the 5 games that Quick played on that early 6-0 home stand where he had a .976sv%, he's got a .902sv% for the rest of the season.

There's no way to know which Kings team will show up, they're just too inconsistent.

I'll be ready by game time to post on the "new and improved" computer... All that's left is a better video card...

BTW...don't eat the fish tonight...

0-0 tie, 20 round shootout, Quick scores on himself after everyone else keeps missing the net

:handclap: Made me chuckle.

Kings go up 4 nothing and lose 6-5.

This makes me sad.

I'm liking the Winnipeg Jets' GDT. I think Pearson got a better deal out of it than Toffoli. Oof. Quick's was pretty funny.

I wonder how Holden Caulfield watches tonight's game.

(Winnipeg Jets score.). HC goes "You know it!" and moonwalks across the room.

(Kings score.). HC goes "Booyah!" and fist-pumps and high-fives himself.

Conditioning skate for Regehr. Said he started taking a few light wristers. First shots taken since suffering the hand injury vs STL.

hopefully this means hes close to returning

These are some classy GDT's Ron. Thanks again.

Yes, well done Ron!! These are two points the Kings need to go out and get tonight against a team that is right there with them in the standings.

Amen. More effort in the GDT than in 50 minutes of most games, cheers buddy.

Holden wins no matter what, that's how this works ;)

Though I'm sure he'd tell ya both teams getting points is good.

At some point, the Kings will be down by at least two goals. They will rally and lose the game by one goal, whether regulation or OT.

Please prove my pessimism wrong? Whiskey jpeg, maybe?

Does anyone think that the Mcnabb / Doughty pairing gets more than 5 mins together, it seems to be dropping mcnabb in the deep end a bit, the guys a rookie and he's hasn't played in a week or so.

It probably depends on how well McNabb and Muzzin play on their first few shifts.

I don't think it will be a long term thing. Muzzin usually steps up his game when Sutter challenges him.

It's a message to Muzzin "Stop playing poorly".

McNabb was Doughty's preseason partner while Muzzin was out nursing an injury.

Muzzin also had a huge drop in play last season around this point as well before turning things around after the Olympic break. And no matter what the deceiving numbers will tell you about Muzzin's possession stats, he played poorly without Doughty last season and has yet to prove that he can be a relied upon top 2-3 dman on his own.

No work for me tomorrow so I will be able to stay up and watch the game tonight. It sure would be nice if the Kings stopped sucking...

According to TheScore Richards no longer healthy scratch.

actually, he wasn't a healthy scratch, according to Sutter he's been sick, which is probably why he didn't play in the 3rd vs Rags and didn't practice yesterday.

He also gave Richie a stick tap for showing up for practice every day last week when the players had off.

On whether Mike Richards will play:
You’ve got to talk to these guys. I never ever talked about that, so these guys that have all the inside – so what’s that paper, the Insider, whatever? Mike Richards, he’s like coaches. He only gets people to talk about him when he does – Mike Richards, the last time we played the Winnipeg Jets, played 17 minutes and 50 seconds, and really, Mike hasn’t been feeling all that great, and I’ve been trying to watch him. He was one of the guys last week when we gave guys time off, he was one of the guys who was here every day. It’s always, it doesn’t matter where you go, there’s always just two or three guys, they always want to kind of go around the horn instead of going right to the point. That’s the way it works.

I just realized that Fox Sports Go streams Fox Sports West and Prime Ticket broadcasts. So this is like NHL Gamcenter...without the blackout restrictions. Awesome!

I hope ProHockeyTalk updates its story with this info.
