OT: Winnipeg Blue Bombers 2024 Season Thread - Footnote it is. Another long off-season ahead.

I wouldn't mind if they made an external hire for OC. If they go with Bourgoin, I hope they give him some outside help. I wouldn't necessarily want Khari as the OC as he was prone to being way too pass happy with his stints at OC, but I think he would be a valuable addition to the club as an offensive assistant ie. Quarterbacks.

Would be nice to have actual new blood - this coaching staff is loyal but stale
 
idk how we didn't look at that line and not see it was the biggest weakness of the team

I hope so, Wallace deserves a chance at RG or even LG, if Dobson isn't resigned.

You guys need a youth movement. Thomas, BA, etc need to be replaced by younger guys.

The Bomber's need to find an actual backup at QB, you lost the Grey Cup, because you didn't trust your backup, who was originally third string.

Agree. And I don't trust Streveler as a back-up when the Bombers need a full offense to compete (e.g. in a playoff game). Streveler is fine as a gimmick where the Bombers can bully teams on the ground over a short period, but a CFL team can't count on winning without a diversified offense with a robust passing game.

He won the game he played as a starter last year. But his passing is below average...

No matter which QB we have, we won't win the Cup by not using our world class RB properly. That was the single biggest failure last year, IMO. I think with our personnel we could do some serious damage with a run-heavy offense.

We could almost run the whole thing with our 3rd and short formation! 😆

Problem with streveler is he throws the ball like his elbow is glued to his side. What I don't understand is they brought him back and barely used him. I like the first go around where they used him in some unique plays.
 
Weve had solid rec core for a while... and iirc we were down on pokey until he broke out halfway thru the season

I just want upgrades to the defensive front 7, a top safety, a returner and a new LT

Not asking for much

wilson signed with the jets so we needed a replacement plus this guy is probably our returner now
