To Winnipeg:

Alex Lintuniemi (Left Shot Defenseman 6' 3" 230 on elc til 19')

Rob Scuderi (would retain but he's at max retention of 3 teams)

To Los Angeles:

Ondrej Pavelec w/ negotiated retention 33%-50%

Winnipeg needs lefties correct? I know it looks like a trash dump but I can't find a way to fit Pavelec in without retention and dumping Scuderi's salary.

(can a mod please correct Winnipeg's spelling in the title?)

Scuderi's in ontario... Lintuniemi is going to be forced to ECHL because of log jam but is ready for top 4 AHL minutes.

they are both playing behind mcnabb, forbort, gravel, macdermid, sharipzy-howeveritsspelled, and jacob moverare.

Don't need more garbage bottom pairing defencemen. Pavs is worse than worthless but at least management has finally buried him and he's gone at the end of the year.

Also it's Winnipeg not winnepeg. Cmon man.

I think the Jets would retain 50% on Pavs and would do this deal. LA seems to have a logjam of Left D ahead of him. Good offer.

Not sure what the Jets would do with Scuderi or if he'd waive his no trade to come to Winnipeg knowing he'd be on the Moose or probably more likely the Tulsa Oilers though.

Without Scuderi the deal still fits under the cap as long as Jets retain 50%.

Realistically I think it would be Pavs (50% retained) for Lintuenemi(sp?) and both teams pull the trigger if Quick is out a while. Pav has proven he can get hot for stretches in the NHL.

I don't see why the Kings do this, I'd take it.

if quick is out long term (6-8 weeks) pavelec could be the shiniest turd out of bill ranfords goalie machine that is available. I don't like the prospect of losing Budaj to waivers when he gets sent down when quick is back. budaj's a legit 1a goalie to play in ontario and it just seemed like a fit since you guys really need left shot defenseman.

Don't go overboard on the compliments..
Back when we had Budaj for 5 minutes, I probably would have taken him over Pavelec.

so you're okay with keeping 2.9 mil in dead cap space and walking away with zero return over... a left shot prospect that's on elc til 19' at minimum risk and burying scuderi on the moose w/ his massive 175k cap hit?

seems like great logic. keep it up.

Yup since we're not up against the cap and he's gone after this year. He could potentially help a rival in making the playoffs, not loving that. May as well keep him buried.

i would rather not trade Lintuenemi i actually think he has top 4 potential Also would rather go cheap on the goalies till quick comes back It would give us more cap room at the deadline for some sorta upgrade

going cheap on goalie could also make the kings sellers at trade deadline as well though. there's hypothetical waiver wire options in condon but there is no guarantee. you gotta pay to play.

the last time that quick was hurt was had jones and scrivens and they played lights out. With the defensive style la plays goalie is a position we can go cheap in. At least try it for a while before making a move
