Poor Hutson has to play with Armia on the PP, after Matheson blows a minute and a half of it. Come on Marty time to put on your big boy pants even if they're too long for you.
The team knows it too they f***ing know it and it will lead to more frustration and more lack of effort.Montreal didn't play that bad. They seem to be coming around defensively unfortunately it seems to be at the cost of offense.
Montembeault was fine tonight. Gustafsson didn't really get too many hard shots. Minnesota did a great job boxing Montreal out for the most part and stuck to their neutral zone trap all game.
Montreal needs to get Hutson onto PP1. It's ridiculous that MSL didn't have one of his best players out there on that final PP late in 3rd when we desperately needed a goal, so stupid. Dach is doing f*** all, so replace Dach with Hutson. Geezus, so frustrating.
I didn't expect to beat Minnesota, so I'm not too upset.
We now have a 4 game home stand: Columbus, Edmonton, Vegas & Utah.
Suzuki, Caufield, Slaf. High end complementary players. None of them are elite.
This team needs elite talent badly. Someone that can create offense vs good teams defending a lead. We don't have that right now. Hopefully Demidov. We need another though.
They need to play better than "pretty well". They're the future of the team, they should be playing pissed off and looking more dangerous than they currently are. How many dangerous scoring chances were generated this game? 3? 4? Not good enoughThe important guys played pretty well. When you have a lot of veteran plugs and a 4th line plug Evans centring the 2nd line you aren't go to win much.
That is what is frustrating the coach needs to know how to manage his bench and he is clue f***ing less.Montreal didn't play that bad. They seem to be coming around defensively unfortunately it seems to be at the cost of offense.

McKenna is going to Pittsburgh I guarantee itI say 2. Lots of deadweight gone and a lot of new young blood will earn spots by then.
And of course Demidov+McKenna
Just watch the Laval games. Pascal Vincent will likely be our coach in another 1-2 seasons once Hughes finally fires Marty.
yup...back in the day....yes even 10 years ago...you could at least expect a fisticuff or 2i don't even care anymore , and if there are no scraps ... I feel nothing
Continue speaking the truthMontreal didn't play that bad. They seem to be coming around defensively unfortunately it seems to be at the cost of offense.

Matheson is sooooo slow on the power play, holds the puck for 14 secs at a time for no reason at all. If he's static, everyone is and kills the momentum.Matheson should not be playing ~ 7 minutes more than every other skater.
The Dach - Slaf - Suz line at least has decent possession and xG metrics, even if they can't finish.
Refs were trash tonight.
All losses IMO.We now have a 4 game home stand: Columbus, Edmonton, Vegas & Utah.

My 1-10-1 November prediction might actually come true.
I find it really hard to evaluate Hughes right now. He’s made a lot of moves I’ve liked and some I haven’t cared for but overall it’s Bergevin’s fault for sinking the team the way he did. Building a completely new core from scratch on your first day while also dealing with so much left over dead weight isn’t an easy position to be in. As for MSL, he’s been completely out to lunch this season. Even his sound bites and energy has been off. Something needs to be addressed there.Media needs to start calling out St Louis and Hughes. Enough of this BS. The team is horrid and not moving in the right direction. NObody is ever f***ing accountable.
I told you not to do that bet bro. You could have been drunk and rich tonight.
