Red Savage watch is officially on; done for the season at MSU. From a prospect standpoint I'll be mildly curious if they sign him. He does a lot of things well but nothing outstanding. It sucks for MSU because he is a very dependable performer for them.View attachment 969004
Reminds me of Glendening, a lot.I’ll be surprised if Savage isn’t signed. Kid is a gamer and leader and has been around the organization quite a bit the past 2 years. Not sure he ever makes it to the NHL, but he should get his shot to develop in GR and potential future 4th liner.
So where do you think we are going to end up this year on Scott Wheelers team prospects rankings? Weren’t we like 7th last year? I’m guessing we will be fourth. Buffalo is the latest team out and they are 11th.
Ok now that you say second it’s kinda coming back to me thankswe were 2nd last year to Buffalo. I'll say 5th, but I'm completely guessing.
With Edvinsson and Kasper graduated likely, I imagine they fall a decent amount. They could be up any time now if they just did 11thwe were 2nd last year to Buffalo. I'll say 5th, but I'm completely guessing.
This year we got aljo n soderblom, last year we got Ed. i guess for myself anyways ill believe in the rookie brigade if/when it happens based on the way SY has slowed rolled the rookies/prospects.One has to think Danielson, ASP, Cossa, MBN, Mazur, Buch, Buium, Kiiskinen, and Lombardi all have good odds to get a chance by the end of the 26-27 season unless their development completely stagnates, especially the first 3. They are all already good pro players who seem to be progressing nicely. Things look good for Plante, Augustine, and Finnie as well but we have to see how their games translate to the pro level. It isn't realistic to expect all 12 of those guys to be NHL players, hitting on 6 out of the 12 would still be solid. At minimum the youth movement is very real. Danielson, ASP, and Cossa seem like near locks to be NHL players and the rest of them have decent odds to get at least get a cup of coffee in the NHL with the biggest question marks being the 3 guys who aren't playing pro hockey yet. Outside of the 1989 draft, this might really be the best prospect pool the Wings have ever had.
