I disagree. Matthews the past 2 seasons took over games. I am not sure he has taken over any games this season. He's had some monster shifts but not a lot of times he has been the best player on the ice.

If he had Pulfords wrist shot then yep, he works hard at both ends, seems to be able to handle the puck, wins battles ok, don't know if there's enough heat and accuracy there. He did score in JR a bit.

They need to sit him, Tavares, Murray and Gio a lot in the second half of the season. Tavares might need a month of LTIR.
