He just doesn't have it anymore. I was one of the few fans who liked this signing back then, I thought adding a two time Hart finalist was exactly what this team needed.

If he played anywhere near that two time hart finalist, I think you and many others would be right. But for a majority of his time here, Tavares has been a 2C in the sense that he doesn’t seem to be the best player on the ice in a game almost ever. At his best, his consistently a threat, but he isn’t the guy the other team is looking to shut down, that was always Matthews

I wasn't really for or against the Tavares signing but I actually thought it was the right move after his first year here.

Now? It's descending into complete disaster. $11M for 57th (75th in PPG) in league scoring is just painful, and it's only getting worse.

It’s not just the last 4 periods. we are a .500 team in something like the last 10 games or so. Exactly what we did last year.

While I do agree with you, this season we have been more structured than the previous seasons I've noted. We are definitely going through a slump currently but if we can turn it around and keep it up even if we lose, I will be definitely much more at ease.

We are a good team that plays like a good team in November and then fade back in December, Jan and feb. Last year it was largely a Campbell issue and this year it’s both of our new goalies that have sunk way back
