My brother sees Datsyuk all the time (works for Olympia), is 5'11 and says Datsyuk is a little bigger than he is. With Datsyuk, you can't judge him on one viewing because of the club foot. Depends on his stature at the time.

Edit: comparatively, he says Kronwall is no bigger than he is.

He's definitely got a weird stance and posture. If there's anyone hard to accurately judge on height based on these super scientific "I met these guys once" it'd be Datsyuk. If I'm taking a grain of salt with some of these posts, I'm drinking the entire Dead sea with Datsyuk's.

What do you mean by "club foot"?

I personally don't know. Thats just how my brother-in-law's dad describes it (also sees Datsyuk and co. all the time). His foot is jacked, his one leg is shorter than the other, and he kind of limps/hobbles when he walks.

Also, my original post should say brother-in-law, not brother.

I mean, I don't really have a stake in this info. I've seen Datsyuk just twice that I can remember in person and once he was sitting down so I'm not judging. But I do know people personally who have seen him and talked with him at least 100+ times and these are the stories that always come up.

If you really care, you can PM me and I'll give you a few more details about where I get my info from. Just don't want to elaborate too much about my brother-in-law's family and connections to everyone on the internet.

Jurassic Park marathon on AMC the night we get in, coincidence??? I think not.

Serious note, the boys need to push hard in this one. Really they are owed a point or two in terms of Montreal this year. I think if we play as well as we have against them in the previous games we get rewarded and their is chance we lock up third tonight.

I feel like we need to do Jurassic Park themed playoff avatars. And if so I call dibs on this gif combined with one of Dan Cleary holding the Conn Smythe

Isn't club foot where one foot points inward. When both turn inward I believe it's called pigeon toed. Not sure but that was my impression

Pigeon toed is just angled inwards while a club foot is really turned right in. I don't think he could play hockey professionally with an actual club foot.

Need a W here but a loser point would suffice. Losing in regulation sets us up for a possible do or die.

There is a good chance that OTT & PIT will lose their next games though so we may still be out of the weeds.

I'd trust Khan. HSJ is basically just writing what Jurco said which if you read between the lines could mean he feels ready to play but he's not going to be in the lineup. Which is fine, he hasn't done much. I've always been a fan but it's clear he's nowhere near to becoming the NHL'er everyone hoped he'd be.

I liked my Curb Your Enthusiasm suggestion, even more so since - you know - they had to shut down the thread for fear of missing the playoffs. :naughty:
