Like, their level of play hasn't been bad, so clearly there's effort here, but my God, losing the stick and the puck perfectly bouncing off the boards to create a goal with less than a second left in the period is just the hockey gods lining up to punch us all in the collective crotch until we vomit blood.

I refuse to write a season off after two games (not even two, as of right now), but my God does it get frustrating when it feels like the organization is doing most things right to get this thing back on track and just end up with results that defy reasonable explanations.

Skaters go need to finish but they're absolutely dominating this game and Vanecek had given them a chance to win then they likely would've been able to break through at some point. Instead anything and everything ends up in our net and he's not even giving the team a chance to breakthrough.
