i havent watched a game with the new ads yet...just a few seconds here and there from other games....and ya, someone needs to assassinate gary.....theyre f***ing horrendous

so much garbage through the years on his watch..... lockouts....trapezoid...shootouts....jersey ads...these new board ads....

If they don't stop with the animations during play there's gonna be a riot at the NHL headquarters. EVERYONE hates them. They could easily divide the rink in half and once the camera pans into an offensive zone - switch the other half.

Yeah it’s pretty ridiculous, I was thinking the same thing, just change them on the off camera ones and during stoppages. Leave them up longer too, no need to have them changing every two seconds holy crap. It’s the same ones over and over anyway.

And a special shoutout to Dougie. He got the goal, sure, but beyond that he just looks way more like himself.

When he's on the ice we enter the zone better, keep the zone better, and just look better overall. Guy tilts the ice when he's not all banged up.

Pretty good period. I would say only Rasmussen with Soderblum and Sundkvist have good time in our zone. Two times in the game. Larkin and Bertuzzi have their chances, but Devils had enough of chances too. I like Vanecek. Don`t know why.
Game is faster and more dangerous than it was with philly. Philly won thier second game btw against Vancouver when trailed it 0-2.

I'm in this unenviable position of wanting Ruff fired into the sun, but also understand that is unlikely to happen soon without a prolonged losing streak.

It's a cold, dark, hopeless way to live... this... place...

This team has no trouble generating offense. Sure we could use a big body net presence power forward but the real weakness is the defense lacking cohesiveness and having more structure. They get caught up more often than you like to see in their own zone. Vanecek has been really solid and steady in net. This team could be scary good if they had a defensive minded coach.
