Who's putting him on a pedestal anymore than any player on this team? It's just you bitter org. freaks who cry and hit back when anyone criticizes how they develop young players. All anyone talks about is Vilardi's year and the guy has 5 more goals 5v5. That's the difference between them this year. He's shooting 16% Perfetti is shooting 6%.

But we need to do what LA did and throw him in for a trade because he'll shoot 6% for the rest of his career and we need a *BIG BODY* despite Ehlers leaving at the end of this year.

The 1st line has been good. Not elite, but good. So the Jets need to either change up their other 3 lines or trade for players to make those lines better, because a "good" 1st line doesn't win a playoff series when it's the best line you have currently amongst mediocrity.

Good thing they didn't trade him while he was being benched to give Logan a few more looks huh 🤔
Are you comparing samberg to Heinola?

Did you get your wisdom teeth out? I say that not as a commentary on your hockey opinions, as I find I’ve been agreeing with you quite a bit lately, but I am asking as I am scheduled to get mine out shortly and I am concerned my dentist may turn in the same kind of effort when extracting my teeth that the Jets put in tonight, and that just won’t do for me.

But, yeah, I was (and am) annoyed at losing Kovacevic and Chisholm.

Wtf is this copy/pasta lmao.

yea, I'm sorry people are talking about a guy who is actually producing this year, those 5 more 5v5 goals are almost as many as perfetti has scored total.... vildari has elite hands and scores most of his goals in front of the net, of course his shooting% is going to be high

take away the top lines crappy start to the season and those numbers are closer to the top the just "good"

lets see if you are capable of having a response with out name calling

Seems like no matter what Stan does he will never be well liked around here. Cross-bar, big hits assists, yeah but he cost us kov, chis, and soon Heinola.

They were certainly thought of as fringe NHLers at the same point battling Lord Stanley for ice time. Heinola is nowhere near him currently. But we were fortunate he wasn't a victim of the Stanley Vacuum. Already 2 top 4 dmen gone. Could have been a third :sarcasm:
Stan also cost the team Niku. And a bunch of ahlers.

Only if you don't trust the org to tell the difference between an ahler and an nhlr.

But, yeah, I was (and am) annoyed at losing Kovacevic and Chisholm.

I had to force myself to stop checking the performance and stats of these two men... too annoying to keep looking at how well they are doing.

How many games would you like to choose to eliminate to glaze the top line? They've been good, again, but none of them are "great" in production. And you were talking about production, not those fake analytics.

Prefetti's *struggle* year last year is better than what Vilardi has done this year so far in goals and P/60. Even with the 1st line looking "great" Vilardi is producing "struggling Perfetti" numbers 5v5.

Again, that amazing PP. So distracting .

Oh, sorry. f***er.

if you think perfetti's 1 goal in 23 games is better then what vilardi is doing this season then I'm just going to stop replying

If you put Perfetti with Scheif and Connor and.Villardi with Ehlers and Names, those numbers would look a lot different.

The amount of additional ice time and the playing with the best offensive players on the team play a huge part in the differences.

Niku cost Niku. He did cost Appleton who had to be traded back for. So another asset for your Lord.
So he’s my lord because I don’t think he is garbage and should be fired into the moon? Got it. Cool, cool.

So if we lose Pionk because ehlers wants 8 mil do we go around pointing out your boy Ehlers cost us Pionk.

We're talking the real stuff you like, not that fake xG, right? Or is it real now?

Because they're sitting at an (actually) impressive 52-53ish on the year, which again is good, not arbitrarily cutting out games.

Guess what *struggle* Perfetti's was last year? Higher or lower?

I wonder :sarcasm:

He's everyones Lord. We're just here to be witness to it.

They didn't waive Pionk to keep Ehlers. Yikes.

The Jets are not as good as many believe.
Detroit played very well. I see them rebounding second half to contend for a playoff spot.

We only have 3 top 6 forwards. KFC, Ehlers, Scheifele.
Way too many slow forwards that simply have trouble generating against skilled teams:
Perfetti, Lowry, Nino, Apples, Iafallo, Vilardi.

Barron and Kupari need more minutes. Good speed and compete.
Poor Ehlers has noone to play with. He and KFC, our two most skilled forwards, would be dynamite together.

No but they lost him to contract negotiations when the team needs to make tough decisions.

Also did mtl lose kov or does the 3rd pick make all the difference, they got an extra ahler those lucky bums.

Did we lose ajf because of Baron? Baron is such a bum costing us a guy with flowing long hair.

We could have lost Toni because of Kupari. Boo Kupari.

Also they didn’t lose apple because of Stan but they lost him because of every other asset they chose to keep over apples.

We lost Dillion because of Samberg. Boo Samberg. Samberg didn’t just cost us Dillion he cost us the draft picks we used to bring Dillion to wpg.

pretty sure goals for and against are the real stat, you can even take out the XG idc

notice how I said "take away the top lines crappy start to the season and those numbers are closer to the top then just "good"" but your choosing to ignore that part because it goes against the top line is actually performing well so you can try and defend perffeti's lack of offense

it's actually better to look at these numbers with context...

Vilardi is a top 6er c'mon now.
But I agree with names and perfetti these guys aren't top 6 caliber right now. They need someone to help push or capitalize on offense on that second line.
Ehlers has played with a turnstile of linemates over the years ranging at different player quality... This year they haven't been consistently great. I anticipate the Jets bringing in another top 6er at the tdl.

yup, top line is fine, we desperately need to get a 2c and try them between ehlers/perfetti and if that doesn't work we need to find someone to replace perfetti again

The list of teams with 6 “top 6” forwards is very short if any at all.
We definitely have 4 in KFC, Schiefele, Nik and Vilardi. Cole’s slumping but will get there. I think the problem is when the complimentary player is the 2C which is our issue. And I’ve been a solid Names backer because he had chemistry with Ehlers it seemed, but man his hands have turned to stone.

Top line is fine against weaker teams.
Their brutal defensive play exposes them against good teams.
They got burned in playoffs last year and a good chance it will happen again.

Tunnel vision saying they are fine because of the points they are putting up.
With the ice time they get, a two way winger is need on that line.
Monahan had 1 point in last years playoffs. Getting a 2c may not be the answer.
Jets need to look at the big picture and set a playoff lineup.
