I think the problem lies with the "soft" moniker you've given him.The data don`t lie pal......the player has proven himself to be soft. Math just does not add up. Many NHL players have passed through the same rink , played the same games , had the same test, got tested , had injury, persevered and passed, unfortunately this individual just has not. We are a data driven and that`s the long and short of it. We cannot allow feelings or emotions to cloud the true picture. We stand by our comment....we hope we can see him again.
Is Mathurin injury-prone? No question. I don't think there's anybody here that would disagree.
Is he soft because he can't play through a (pretty severe) separated shoulder? I don't believe that to be the case. I don't care if you're the toughest player on the planet, it's extremely unlikely that you (general you) are playing with that kind of injury.
So basically, soft and injury-prone aren't mutually exclusive. And I think that's why most people seem to disagree with you in this particular case.
