Spits were able to score on Parsons in the regular season. Not the 7-8 goals we saw in the last round but enough to get some wins.So what’s everyone thinking for this series? The homer in me says Windsor in 6-7. But goalies are the unknown imho. If costanzo can hold is own we may win this. If parsons stands on his head every night were in trouble. Can we get and stay healthy?

The home ice narrative is huge in this series. I'm extra salty about the seeding, but it is what it is. I've got Rangers in 6, stealing game 5. If this goes 7, it's Windsor.I'll add "staying healthy" to the list of needs. They were banged and bruised during the Soo series and were lucky to get Cristoforo and McNamara back. They still need Spellacy and Woodall to return and, hopefully, nobody else hits the shelf.
That said, I'm going with Windsor in 7 with each team winning at home. It's going to take a monumental effort to win at the Aud.
Windsor doesn’t have the edge if we’re going Goalie vs Goalie. But Joey has been great. He did give up 4 in game 5… but, he also made some great saves, like Christoforo’s drop pass 20 feet in front of Costanzo right to the Soo.Battle of the goaltenders. I think Windsor may have the edge but depends on what goalie shows up for them. They will score but need Joey to be on his game to put the Rangers away. The last team to beat Windsor out was Kitchener so hopefully coach plays that video and gets the boys fully charged.
Kitchener has been strong on the PK as well, so Windsor needs to crack that egg as well.
I think Windsor has the better high end talent but if you are comparing who will win the series to goaltending, sorry gotta be a homer and say Kitchener has the advantage here. We come no where close to 100 pts this season without Parsons. He single handedly won a lot of games for us.Battle of the goaltenders. Should be a dandy, if nothing else each city will be treated to some great hockey.I think Windsor has the better high end talent but if you are comparing who will win the series to goaltending, sorry gotta be a homer and say Kitchener has the advantage here. This is going to be a great series and you may have the advantage in the end because of home ice.
Enjoy!
Sure, until the refs miss or make a bad call and then we will all be enemies again and the refs ruined the series, other teams fans are homer's, not the way I saw it, players are dirty, coaches suck, fans in the arena are ignorant, the league wants our team to lose, video judge screwed up an obvious offside, goalie was or was not interfered with, there was too many men on the ice, puck was deflected over the glass, should have been an instigator call, why wasn't that hit 5 and a game, might have won if it wasn't for the injured players, puck didn't go in the net. And of course the most famous one - I would say the same thing if it was happening to your team, lol.Should be a dandy, if nothing else each city will be treated to some great hockey.
As playoff series get deeper in the rounds the big factors usually become who's 3rd and 4th lines can chip in a few making the difference. Our depth definitely in question with all the injuries. Should be good one for sure. Nice short travels for both teams. Again Windsor really needs those 1st 2 home games. Going from playing the Soo, no offense to them to the Rangers who outpointed us is a different animal.
Ellinas likely out one or two for the slewfoot. Think it happened early enough for the infraction game to count as one. Not being mentioned is the pontential loss of Misaljevic due to injury. Top goal scorer and total points for Kitchener. Went down hard in game 5, left the game in visible pain with no weight on his left leg. Looked like a potential groin tear or pull the way hh hit the boards late in the first period. That would be a big loss for the Rags.Windsor doesn’t have the edge if we’re going Goalie vs Goalie. Ellinas is likely out for the first two games with a slew-foot in Game 5 of Kit/Flint. So even if Spellacy isn’t back, at least we’re not the only team down a Top 6 Forward.
I do like our Odds. I’m expecting a lot of back and forth games, a trip or two to OT, and my bald spot to continue to grow.
Our leaders were around for that sweep in 2023, I think it’s remembered and it’ll trickle down to the rookies.
Bold, hopeful prediction… Spits in 5, because I want to watch Wrestlemania next Sunday rather than go to Kitchener lol
Misaljevic and Reid are listed day to day, so a potential start on Thursday. Still nothing on the OHL site about Ellinas.Ellinas likely out one or two for the slewfoot. Be surprised to see #10 back that soon. Didn’t look good but one never knows. Could be just keeping the information tight.Misaljevic and Reid are listed day to day, so a potential start on Thursday. Still nothing on the OHL site about Ellinas.
Really hope Reid is good to go. Flint were head-hunting him (literally) for the 3 games he was in.Misaljevic and Reid are listed day to day, so a potential start on Thursday. Still nothing on the OHL site about Ellinas.
Windsor has the firepower to knock his confidence way down.....they have his number. As for goalies, big edge to Parsons. It’s not close
Matherin has been a bit of a bust for Windsor. Great player but soft. He seems to be out all the time. This is not what Windsor needed from an OA. Hopefully he puts the big boy pants on and proves everyone wrong, because when he plays and plays 100% he is a heck of a D man.
This is a misinformed and somewhat ignorant opinion made without knowing the health history or injuries sustained by the player this year or prior. May I suggest you refrain from such until you know the facts upon which you spew insults.Matherin has been a bit of a bust for Windsor. Great player but soft. He seems to be out all the time. Sorry but the facts are the facts, never played more than 51 games in any season, 44, 1, 49, 51. That's the math. Love the kid, but those are the numbers. The Red Wings drafted him and did not sign him . We just have not seen you play enough. I hope for the best for him too, but it is what it is.
