Woodall should hae had two for high sticking, whoever got Protas should have had two for spearing. But, welcome to the OHL.
Totaly agree, Woodall should have gotten a penalty. SPits did get away with one there for sure.Woodall should hae had two for high sticking, whoever got Protas should have had two for spearing. But, welcome to the OHL.
I don’t disagree, but the same can be said for Woodall…Nasty spear by Carlisle on Protas who is still down and injured, no penalty. Protas is straight to the room does not look good. Dude needs to be suspended the rest of the series. The spear was after the whistle. Insane, he does not even get a penalty.
The worst part… If it happened two weeks ago, they both would’ve had 4 game suspensionsWoodall should hae had two for high sticking, whoever got Protas should have had two for spearing. But, welcome to the OHL.
Most times it's just the 3..Right now, I don't care who scores for Windsor, as long as somebody does. Protas/Morneau/Greentree doing it? Great. Literally anyone else doing it? Great. Wins are (generally) more important than who does what.
Woodall is think didn't get a penalty with that chop either..Nasty spear by Carlisle on Protas who is still down and injured, no penalty. Protas is straight to the room does not look good. Feeling good heading home for the next one.4-1 win. Protas 2g, Morneau 2g, Costanzo with an impressive outing. They're not all going to be pretty as the Soo is a very physical, defensive club, but take the win. Game 5 on Friday. Let's not have to go back to the Soo.
Love the line combosFeeling good heading home for the next one.
7-2 and 7-1 at home, 2-3 OT Loss, 4-1 Win on the road.
Goals
At Home 14-3
On Road 6-4
Not to mention the Spits impressive regular season record at the WFCU
Hope Spellacy is back just to get us rotating 3 true lines again. Greentree looked exhausted from the first period on.
Protas/Greentree/Morneau
Davis/Spellacy/Garden
Nesbitt/Abraham/McNamara
Not sure if McNamara was still feeling it, or Walters just didn’t like the options with him on the jumbled lines, but from my TV seemed like Gaymes had significantly more ice.
To his credit, he’s been playing well defensively and staying away from any messes. Not afraid to say a word here and there but staying out of the box.
Soo's game plan seems to be a tight checking defensive game and stay in a close game. The Spits scored 2 goals early in both games in Windsor and Soo had to open up. They can't win in a track meet against the Spits. I see that as the big difference.Windsor with a commanding lead on series now.
Coming back home where they play very well.
3 players got most the points again like usual.
Joey played well.
Big swing is when lalonde went down.
Soo couldn't recover.
Why Windsor continues to play completely different from home to away games.
Coaching should get a hold of that.
Windsor should finish this on Friday.
There goalie goalie down was a difference tooSoo's game plan seems to be a tight checking defensive game and stay in a close game. The Spits scored 2 goals early in both games in Windsor and Soo had to open up. They can't win in a track meet against the Spits. I see that as the big difference.
Davis has scored 3 but 2 were disallowed, so the effort is there.Nice bounce back win last night at the Soo for Windsor to take a commanding lead in the series.
No time to let up the gas pedal with 1 win needed to move on to the next round,Protas, Morneau and Greentree line now with 30 points combined ,11,9,10 respectively more then the rest of the Windsor team skaters combined Spits have outscored the Hounds 20-7 in the series,Costanzo averaging 1.70 with pretty good considering 2 of Windsor's D out for the last 2 games and 1 of them all 4 so far plus other injuries 5 throughout the series.
Nice to get a road win where they have struggled after last night now 2-6-2-1 in their last 11 on the road.
However at home in their last 12,10 regular season games and 2 playoff games Windsor is a perfect 12-0,and haven't lost a home game since Feb 5.
With game 5 coming up Friday let's keep that streak going end the series, taking for granted and move on.
Expecting Spellacy back in the lineup Friday, anyone else good question.
Only players disappointed in production wise is Abraham and Davis both only have 1 point, and both are pointless since game 1.
Costanzo continues his mastery over the Hounds this season combined regular season and playoff record of 6-2-1and a goals against average of under 1.
Hope he keeps it up on Friday night.
Go Spits Go.
I know Fridays a weird night at the WFCU, and they’re up against the Wings, following opening day on this side of the border, but I’m a little surprised how many seats are still open tonight.
Been eyeing it and looks like more opened up this morning. Are these from STH not buying their seats?
Why spend the money in Detroit with what is happening..Opening Day likely playing a factor. I know fans who are going over there and hoping to get back in time for the Spits.
