Finn Marshall gets the start for Sudbury, their backup. I hope this means Froggett or Newlove (or Windbiel) get the start for Windsor, give Costanzo some rest.

Also nice to see Kieran Walton and Nick DeAngelis getting the start for the Wolves; brother of Conor and former Spitfire, respectively.

Game day!!, Let's hope we don't get trounced again by the wolves like back in November. This Game is In our barn this time around and I hope for a better effort tonight.

I Will be interested to see who starts in net tonight. This team is showing some tendencies of last year and the season prior. Walter's and this staff have to settle things down and start playing more synchronized hockey out there. Players got to buy in and play with in the system and for each other out there, playoffs are rounding the corner and it's time to kick the bad habits out and buckle in for the grind of playoff style hockey.

I am Hopeful to see a strong effort and see this team start molding into a playoff style team with these acquisitions that were made at the deadline. Just don't want to see 4+ goals against us tonight. Tighten up and play a strong two way game!!

Go Spits!!

Lots of backups facing Windsor lately..

That was a solid win. Joey played much better.

Forgot to add they mentioned on the broadcast tonight that Newlove was traded in JrB. Thought they said Burlington but that may not be correct.

Maybe they will play backup goalie some day..

Nice win, full team defence. I think we held the wolves to less than 20 shots. I’m impressed. Radio announcer said that they had scored something like 2- goals in their three previous games.

21 goals

Couple days off did them good. Mental and physical rest and was a well rounded win, That's the Costanzo we know we have in there, glad he figured it out and had a solid outing, hope he can make that a routine now coming down the stretch. Don't need him stealing every game because this team can score but need him playing reliable and steady between the pipes.

Let's see if this good effort rubs off onto next game, Happy with the compete. Protas/Greentree are on fire, happy to see them stay on the same line.

Go Spits Go!

Much better team defensive game. Nice Joey held firm when tested. Positioning looked better tonight. Shout out to the 4th line Costello Winegard and Garden. They held them pinned in their own end most of their shifts and won most of their draws. . I have a name for Garden, it's the energizer bunny. Kid never stops skating and draws penalties. Costello is going to be a key player as well in the future. Looks good already. 1 disappointment was the PP should have been better. Not sure Greentree and Protas on points with no big man in front of the net works. Could be a new look they are trying m. Go Spits

A great win tonight. Sudbury has a potent offense, keeping them to 19 shots proves this squad has it in them to shut teams down.

Costello is solid for the bottom six , I am stunned Oshawa gave us him and a 3rd, 4th, what the heck? Protas is just a beast out there, reminds me of Johnston the way he just picks the pocket of the defenseman in the offensive zone. Does it several times per game. Cristoforo up to a +38 haha.

Big crowd of 5,900, that's 12,400 fans in the last two games.

Ok, so Greentree on pace for about 125 points, Protas 115-120. Have the Spitfires ever had two players post 100 points in the same season?

Heard Protas has like 23 points in 8 games or something ridiculous. He’s been putting up top tier beer league numbers in the OHL in 2025 lol. He’s been unstoppable.

Kennedy had some key hits and I wish the physicality rubbed off onto others a bit, as Sudbury came out hitting. But that’s really my only complaint.

Glad Morneau didn’t face an injury with the major cross check. Joey looked like he did in the first half with some huge saves. Christoforo and Mathurin stepping into the play and tallying goals a piece without getting caught. Winegard with a couple great chances. Costello’s winning a good chunk of draws, which is huge and Garden is always buzzing, great speed and zip for an 08’.

I watch the last couple of weeks and go, eh playoffs may be a struggle, next years our chance.

Then I see us play a game against a good Wolves team, that’s got Kieran Walton, Henry Mews and Quinton Musty and double up their shots, 3x the scoring, and I think… well, maybe there is a chance this year.

I can’t see Protas returning at this point. He’s so damn good.

Noticed Davis on the concourse, good news is he wasn’t on crutches, in a noticeable brace or anything, hopefully he’s back soon.
