WINDSOR
Defense should be the fucus but If Spellacy and Abraham are moved we need to replace that offense. Musty, Walton, Luchanko any of those players replace the offense of Spellacy and Abraham. Musty 05 so AHL next year eligible so does Sudbury expect to go deep this yead or get something for him while you can? Bigger risks for Guelph and Sudbury with moving 06's Walton or Luchanko with good chance to return and higher cost obviously.

IMHO all 3 OA's stay.
1 or 2 Spits will be traded along with some picks.
Players coming back will make this team better this year AND next year.
And 1 trade will be a jaw dropper that nobody saw coming.

Nothing wrong with taking a stab at it this year and still being in a position to be competitive next year.

The WJT showed that any team can be beat if you throw them off their game and out work them. Trophies don't get awarded until May.

Be safe
This post may not age well, lol.

If a goalie is involved I could reason it maybe Newlove being a year older and hasn't seen action yet but is rated high. Hoping the reason is for insurance this year and next and to groom Windbiel next year and not a Joey injury.

My first thought was Newlove given his high rating. Get him a chance to play in the O. Unless they move Froggett closer to home and bring up Newlove?

Assume the 08’ trade deal applies to goalies as well. Windbiel couldn’t be moved as he’s 16 and not a 1st round selection.

One of our goalies involved going out? Of Newlove(07)/Froggett (06) we have one to spare. That doesn’t mean a goalies coming back…

This is the most depth we’ve had at goalie in at least a decade. I wonder what the value other teams put on an untested/highly ranked goalie. There’s an argument of 3 that aren’t Joey, they haven’t seen enough of a look at this level

Owen Sound
Hearing one of our goalies involved in something now. If George moves OS will need a young tender… i agree Musty not likely as of now. Lots of smoke for sure! Truly shocked at how many names im hearing!
Owen Sound doesn't need a goalie even if they move George, which is highly unlikely(at least based on public comments from the organization). They already have 07 Koprowski and 06 Bennett(B card as of now) rostered. Bennett has been really good in his games played while George was away at the world juniors and would be a logical bump to an A card.

DeGray did say publicly somebody made an absurd offer on George though. We know there's interest, just not sure that's something the Attack want to do this year. I think that's more likely an offseason move or next trade deadline if/when it happens.

Owen Sound
Was suggesting part of a bigger deal with McCue attached and Spellacy, Manzo and picks
What would be the appeal to Manzo? Owen Sound already has a pretty solid D core beyond this season assuming Petrovski is moved.

LHD: RHD:
07 Smith 06 Bedkowski
07 Bleicher 06 Rogers
08 Arnett 08 Kwajah(not signed yet but things are pointing in that direction in the offseason)
08 Roy

I'm not sure where Manzo makes sense for the Attack in terms of fit. They definitely could use help at forward but D seems to be in pretty good shape. Goaltending depth looks good too.

I say this without knowing who or what's happening with the goalies...

You could move either Newlove or Froggett for picks + conditionals, whether they're back next season, maybe playing situations, whatever the case may be. Bowler/Evola have done a good job in bringing in depth at that spot but now might be an opportunity to use that to shore up other areas. Even if you trade one, you've still got three who can play and have potential.

Windbiel can't be traded. Only window open for 1st round pick only. It is either Froggett, Newlove or even Joey that could be involved. Liklely Newlove with Froggett's record and current injury status.

Windsor at Erie
Costanzo starts,Newlove the backup
Not dressed Gaymes and Garden
In the lineup Martiin and Mathurin
Also not dressed Outwater and Froggett with their injuries.
Interesting Spits dressing 8D,10F,
though Winegard listed at forward.

44 could be a forward...

Still seeing "Spellacy wants out" posts on here and some seem to take it as the truth......This rumor was literally started on this fan page and seems to have grown wings. I understand the expression "Where there is smoke there is fire".....but come on!!! Bowler is the definition of tight lipped. Many of the so called "Insiders" on here have stated they know literally nothing in past posts.....whats changed?

What people hear is peripheral chatter from players, some team personal and or their agents/ nhl teams. Bowler is that tight lipped so the rumors start outside of Bowler and only Bowler talks after it has already happened it seems.

I understand what you are saying and yes I agree people here things from different sources......I might be alone in this one .....but I am more of a unless it's 100% I don't trust anything  Spellacy logs big minutes etc and wears an "A" ....He has a big role on this team. I personally have not heard anything about him wanting out on my end.

As ive said nothing ive heard is concrete, lots of smoke. Others that chose to turn it into more or add names are outside of my info. Those i speak with are involved but not a BB side.
So who is out for Erie? Hearing suspensions from last nights game?

Royston is out from last night. I don’t think anyone else got anything.

Yep, the tone last night was much more role v. wanting out. I don't know how it'll play out but the stuff is out there so we'll see.

I see Newlove being traded now or before the beginning of next season. I see Costanzo and Windbiel for next year. Newlove is highly rated and should bring a nice return. Froggett could also be traded before next year, but he needs to have a strong 2nd half to have much value.
