I wouldn’t count on Outwater, whether he’s healthy or not lol.

Both centers, both 05’s. Foster is just shy of a point a game this year, and last year. Foster is more interesting to me then Dever, but they’re Ottawa’s 3 & 4 top scorers, Mews is 1, Pinelli is 2, but Pinelli can’t go anywhere until after WJ and I think Pinelli is AHL bound next season.

I could see adding 1 of the 2. Both don’t really make that much sense. I’d see either of them taking a third line role here to replace Outwater.

Not too worried about the 4th line guys in Gaymes, Martin, Garden. They’d be lucky to see 3 minutes a game in the playoffs if were healthy.

Just a heads-up (I haven't read anything else in the thread yet) - Belchetz got one (1) game for his hit. He'll return on Tuesday.

Beltchz gets 1 game. Returns tomorrow.

Whoops... my bad lol the talk was all about the 67's when I saw.

As for Devers/Foster - they need 19-year-old forwards. While you ideally want a top-six guy, Foster might be able to fit into that in the second half or next season. They're both OA possibilities so I'm not against it for the right price.

That said, I'm still waiting for that big crease-clearer.

Hearing you guys are expressing a lot of interest in Cooper Foster & Jack Dever from the 67’s
I can understand Foster being an 05,while I know Dever is an 05 too,if I had choice I would inquire about Foster,Dever not so much.

I an thinking Lemieux for the 3rd line role,he impresses me more each game despite being only 16.

I agree with you. I’m high on Lemieux, I don’t really think we need to add up front for this year. Foster as a top 9 guy this year (allowing Lemieux to work in during injuries, suspensions, etc) isn’t the worst idea IF he’s returning. He is NHL drafted (6th round), so I’d fear a bit of his departure.

I feel like we’re lacking some star power up front but maybe that’s just me.

Greentree is 2nd in Points, 4th in Goals, 3rd in +/-, 6th in Assists

Protas is 6th in Points, 11th in Goals, 7th in +/- 9th in Assists

Christoforo leads the league in +/- at +34, and also Walton, is sitting at 12th in the league at +20.

I haven’t really looked at the league stats in comparison, but now I’m starting to think we’re better than I thought.

Toss in the fact,as a team #2 overall in the league, most goals as a team, top 4 best in goals against,3rd best team on the PK,most home wins in the CHL,and that's after 35 games in the book, not a small sample size like say 5 or 10 games.
Other then the recent drop in PP effiency all is good imo and even that hasn't affected any surges.

We all know the 2nd half of the OHL seasons provides a much clearer picture of where a team sits in terms of competing for a title. The first half is window dressing.
A very solid start that has put Windsor in a favorable position but also increased the options n complications involved with which direction they go. And BB has shown he isn't consistent with a direction based on standings. No idea if that's an ownership or GM thing.
If they duplicate there great success in the 2nd half it's definitely a team that could make noise n challenge for sure.
Big up front n talented, a G that is capable of a hot streak ect....Haven't caught much action from the team but that F group could be a big pain in a series on other teams D on the forecheck n cycling for sure if they committ to it.
No idea on the D but it seems most want an upgrade there. Would be fun to see Ktown, Windsor n London all have solid chances come POs as a hockey fan.

The second half is only going to get tougher, which is part of the reason why having an 18-point lead on Saginaw for the division is a good thing. We've seen some strange things happen in the league so get the biggest cushion you can, play your game, and hope for the best.

Congrats to Spits forward Cole Davis for being named OHL player of the week,in 2 games 4G2A,6 Pts to garner the award.
Like I mentioned before he has 10 points in his last 4 games including 6 Goals.
I was able to watch the game replay last night and was surprised that there was no mention of his hat trick after he scored the 3rd goal. He did have a great weekend.

Also wondering out loud if Bowler is stealing a page from the Hunters play book and helping to drive up the price on players in the end he will not be trading for? He seems to be in on a lot of trade conversations. At least he is not been stagnant.

There are two things I've learned about Bowler since the 2022 deadline... a) he's going to be active, to some extent... and b) whatever we think he's going to do, he does something else. I'm hearing the talk through the local grapevines and networks; whether or not anything comes to fruition is TBD. However, the next 10 days are going to be 👀.

Needs to pull the trigger still.
Will help a lot if London is done trading.

Interesting stats re Windsor Defence of the top 5 who have missed any time here is Windsor 's record with them out.
Christoforo- 1 game missed-Windsor 0-1
Mathurin - 6 games missed-Windsor 5-0-1
Walton - 1 game missed- Windsor- 1-0
( he missed his game same time as Mathurin was out)
Eichler - 1 game missed- Windsor1-0
Woodall- 1 game missed- Windsor1-0

Seems like so far who ever has missed time
from the D for Windsor 's top 5 hasn't mattered so far.

Where did Mathurin come from?
Came from North Bay prior to season starting performed in exhibition season for Windsor.
I was referring to no trades or free agent signings during camp or this season so far.

It was a trade for this season. So they did make a move to upgrade for this season, and yes it was a great trade.

I guess it depends on when you consider "the off-season" to have ended and "this season" to have started. For me, it's when the players arrive at training camp. For others, it could be opening night.

Regardless, he was an outstanding get and Bowler has lots of room to make more moves. Whether that's six, seven, or 47, it's still a lot.
