Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Ummmm I took it as a big name from the Spits might be available. Not acquiring a big name who happens to be from Windsor.
I heard some chatter about a big name current Spitfire. It would be a surprise. Not mentioning name in case it is BS or player changes their mind.

Ok, so I'm not alone in thinking it was a current Spitfire who could be shipped out. I'm still confused as to who it could be, given what I've seen, but my ears are perked...
I think this can be a bit of everything. The team is good, they aren't flush with picks. It's possible to be that title contender you need to move a top tier guy. Spits had to move Watson to get Kassian and it's debatable whether that move was necessary. Spits aren't getting better on D by just moving draft picks either. I don't think it's a stretch to say this name plays up front either.

IMO go for it next year versus this season.......might turn out to be another Wright type flop otherwise.......London has a BIG advantage this year
Looking at London, our offense matches or is better than London overall Joey can match their goaltending when he is on, which he has been most of the year. Bring in 2 quality D with a upgrade Abraham with another OA/D and we coukd be right there with them. Remember the Kadri/Tavares Knights vs the equally balanced Spits? 5 games all OT 4-1 Spits, but could have easily been the other way. I expect Bowler will be busier than most think. Going for it next year maybe too costly to replace 2-3 OAS and 2 imports if Protas leaves (likely) and we don't have an import pick not until positon 50'60 in the first round.

If we don’t think this is out year then why not move Protas for a haul of picks we can use to improve team next year
I appreciate the idea of next year. This team may get 100 points but people acting like they're going to be a 5th or 6th seed.
Sincere question. Why do people want to wait for next year? People acting like Windsor will be the favorites. What's stopping someone else in the West being 24-25 Windsor in 25-26?

Sounds like Bowler is thinking the same way. Bird in the hand versus bird in the bush. Not much we can do but sit back and relax, watch, judge. Complaining is always an option as well, lol.

If London wasn't doing their thing this season, where they might lose a few games (total) in the playoffs, I'd say go for it now. However, they're elite and the talk around the rink for the last month has been "teams are hesitant to gear up knowing London's going to run the table in the West." I'd love to see Windsor make a solid run but sometimes credit is given where it's due.

I know nothing but my guess would be Spellacy (maybe Chicago’s pushing for it) or Abraham (on-ice actions/body language).
As far as “big names” Greentree, Abraham, Christoforo, Spellacy, Belchetz, Protas are the ones that come to mind.

London is near the top year after year.
And get players as hunter knows how to trade.

They have a great number returning and Medvedev. Add in Hunters bag of tricks and NCAA players with Londons history of producing NHL players and they will be back like a bad infection that never goes away lol.
Abraham should of been traded by now.
He shouldn't move the needle for a trade.
But it needs to be done.

Watching Team Canada this tournament is proof that good TEAMS and coaching can beat good players. Yes, London is loaded with talent but you still have to play the games!! As we’ve seen, nothing is guaranteed; unless of course all other teams are intimidated and decide not to compete.

Agreed but there's a difference between a team thrown together over the holidays and a team that's been around each other nearly 24/7 since late August. London has proven they can (and likely will) dominate. Nothing is guaranteed but I'd be shocked if someone knocked off London in a seven-gamer.
And Abraham is not the maybe surprise player as him being moved would not surprise anyone. Finding a taker being an OA will require some sweeteners

But unlike team Canada the Knights keep winning minus their top players being gone. I think they are 6-1 since players left.
They can still return 12 players plus next year and if Dickinson returned?? They have won 29 of 35 this year with the work not being done by Cowan and Haltunnen who have played 29 total games combined. There's a chance they're still getting 90 plus points next year.
I get what you are saying about Spellacy,if there is one who wants out I could see it being him,3rd round pick same round as Protas except Protas as more then double the points as Spellacy,Spellacy great camp with Chicago only have seem glimpses here,cut by Team USA World Jrs,trails in points with Greentree, Protas,Morneau, Nesbitt, Abraham, Davis and Christoforo, and leads Belchetz by only 2 points and Belchetz has played 5 less games.
Not sure what to think to be frank,as for Abraham he has played better lately 7 points in his last 4 games,including 2 goals,but only 1 point in the previous 7 before his last 4.
Hope it's not true re Spellacy but who knows.
I get it could be Abraham but I don't think so,he wanted out last but not now imo.

They're on pace this season for 113 points, which would be their highest total since 120 points in 04/05. They've had three seasons since 2011-12 with fewer than 90 points. Getting 90 is expected of them, but 100+ has been a rarity. You remove the grads from this season and there's a better chance (still not *great*) of taking them in seven next season. I want to see Windsor get 2-3 rounds like everyone else, but I'm also fully willing to admit that London is going to dominate this season more than they have in the past.
