Hicks shown as 7th D on the Spits Facebook lineup 30 minutes ago.
I’d rather see hicks in than Eichler for this one. I don’t dislike Eichler and like that he tried to get the team going with some physical play, which I think has been a big drop off since the beginning. However, his back to back penalties were pretty hard to argue and doing them that close together, in a game where we were struggling with even 5 guys out there is tough.

I see some lines switched up, hopefully it gets them going a bit

Also good to see Davis on the top. As soon as I talked trash. He went out and had that goal that he grinded out completely solo. Efforts like that should be rewarded. Hoping for a bounce back today.

Good energy from both sides but very tight checking. With that said, Greentree has to play that breakaway as normal as possible. When you've got four shots in 13ish minutes, don't do anything fancy (ie. between the legs). Get your team up 1-0.

2-1 Soo final. The biggest downfall to this was Windsor running out of gas in the third and OT. They were outshot 22-6 in that time frame. That said, they played well defensively and Miller was outstanding for the Soo in goal. I wish they had more quality chances offensively but you take the point and move on for now.

At least they got a point. Cristoforo was tripped in OT as he was about to go on a breakaway, no call, even the SOO announcers said they got away with that one. Windsor only had 50 seconds of power play time in this one, so I'll take the point. Last game of a road trek , they've been on the road since Wednesday, so take the point.

Someone needs to get Greentree in the video room and show him some of these plays where he always has to hold onto the puck too long and ends up in a giveaway and a scoring chance for the other team.

Squad has cooled down, 5-4-1 in their last 10 games. But they are 5 points ahead of Saginaw a top the divison and 6 points ahead of the SOO who will have to be sellers.

J.C. has been great but Bowler has to get Newlove in here. A goalie ranks for the NHL draft and you have him as your #3 goalie? Get him over here.

Maybe find a way to improve the import spot instead of Eichler, Add a steady d man and I think the squad gets better. Manzo played big minutes in this game, are they showcasing him?

Joey with 1 point today for the team. We did play defensive as a team better but still not goid enough. Why are we not able to hold the puck in on the offensive zone 5 on 5? We have a skating play with a shot on the rush and quickly it turns around on us the other way. We were pretty good second period but little quality second chances. The 3rd and OT we looked like we were on the Pk. Many were taking damm long shifts. In OT Abraham and Cristoforo had 2 chances to change but decided they are the important players. 3 game weekend short shifts are paramount. That is on coaching to reel in that BS

Thikns are starting to look too much like last year!
Yes sir. I've been saying it but the die hards keep telling me that you are going to have games like that lol. Who has the answer. Coach not motivating? Players have their own agenda (my thoughts-personal stats trump all) Players not listening? Coach lost room? This team less the rookies and Protas/Mathurin also played well for a bit when Torres first took over last year and then-plummet. At some point you need to hold the leadership group liable. This group is on Coach 3 with eerily exact similar problems. I don't want the rookies to learn the wrong way. The leadership group is actually on head Coach 4 although Savard left by his decision.

Just as you can have good habits you can develop bad habits. With the exception of Thursday they have had really poor starts recently. We can talk how well they started the year but if you start games poorly you don't have a lot of room for error. The 06s are talented but they need to be better and their best players night in and night out. It needs to be on guys like Spellacy and Greentree.
