To be honest I think he is frustrated with his own teammates. He just wants to get them going and this team doesn't go until they start hitting. Too many soft starts , becoming a cancer for this team. Some of these players are seeing that.
I wonder if Davis is still beat up a bit? He’s been real quiet, and that was rarely the case last year. If he wasn’t scoring, he was hitting.

Unfortunately, games like this are going to happen on occasion. 5-1 Sudbury and the defence isn't anywhere to be found. Froggett getting some playing time now.

Joey pulled.
But defense did nothing for him either.

Laying a complete egg so far..

Have to imagine it’s to look at Musty and in-person talks with Sudbury. I hope I’m wrong, but it makes the most sense.

I hope we don’t blow up next year at this years deadline. But. There’s a chance we lose: Spellacy, Protas and Greentree, in addition to Morneau, Mathurin and Abraham.

The 3 OAs are fillable spots next year, I think Mathurin is the most valuable. However, those other 3? To have them graduate and not have a go? I think Bowlers making the jump.
I think there is almost a 0% chance we lose any of Spellacy and Greentree. Neither have really looked a whole lot better than last season, could even argue Greentree has not been as good as last season.

Protas is 50/50. Haltunen got sent back to London, not unreasonable to think Protas could be back. Sudbury probably wants an '08 1st rounder for Musty, for us that's Belchetz, so we're not getting Musty.

This is an embarrassing game. We knew the squad would cool down at some point but my problem is they look completely disinterested in competing for extended stretches these past few weeks. They were outplayed the last two periods last night and this game is just sad.

A win in the SOO on Sunday would make up for this one.

Can't take games off.
Got to be ready to play every night

I feel we are starting to see the real team. They are not this bad but they weren’t as good as they started. They should manage to finish middle of division but if defence doesn’t get better then they could be in trouble. Joey i don’t think it’s one that can survive bad D like the great goalies can.

They will be battling for 1st in the division all season. Middle of the division would mean SOO and Saginaw surpass them. The SOO will have to be sellers, their 1st and 2nd round picks did not report and I believe they have just one 2nd round pick in the next 3 years. They have no choice.

Saginaw is 50/50 if they decide to sell. They also have an empty draft cupboard and have traded their 1st round pick in 2 of the past 3 seasons. I could see Saginaw wining the division if they decided not to be sellers.

I wouldn't trade Belchez for Musty. I really don't think Sudbury would do that deal anyway. Belchez could be 2 and gone. Sudbury would want someone who will be around longer.

I think Saginaw has to go, but they can’t have much in the cupboard. I think they want Misa for his tenure to help give more credibility to the organization down the line. Same with Parekh, two future NHLers. But if you keep both of them, you gotta get what you can out of them, and that includes another playoff push.

Musty's going to cost either an 07 + 2/2/2/3/5 or 08 + 2/2/3/3. Would you trade Nesbitt for him? I still want a veteran D.
I wouldn’t. I think we have potential for a playoff push this year, and a huge year next year. If we’re building around 25-26, and Greentree and Spellacy return, we’re in good shape and I’d rather bring in an 07 then move out our top one.
