You also said move Woodall and Walton? Plus Davis? That's 5 players that out of that group only one is an OA that is for sure not coming back next year. I get the Eichler reference but maybe he is in their plans for next year? I can see not being there with him as well but he he still could be? Moving 25% of the team out is also a huge wack on chemistry. Seems pretty drastic if there is any vision of trying to gain experience and hopefully prepare for next year.
For me Walton, Woodall and Davis are not even a consideration to be traded.
Really think Abraham is the only 1 that would make sense.
Now I have heard that the OA market is just not there this year as most contenders are not looking to upgrade. It takes 2 to tango so a lot of fans may be disappointed with what they think should have been done to get picks back in the cupboard. Anyway enough of this for me, be safe.
I think either Woodall or Walton could be moves both are 06s. They're not bad players but I don't see them as high ceiling guys either. You can like getting Petrovski if he's even available but you're pretty much committing to Costanzo/Outwater/Petrovski as your OAs next year. Especially if you're good sticking with Froggett. I get the sentiment of chemistry but on the other hand it's 14 of the same players last year but nobody talked about whether chemistry was good or bad because the team wasn't good. Winning=chemistry good, losing=chemistry bad. Seems rather short sighted and lazy analysis imo.

I truly believe that 1 of either Woodall or Cristoforo has to go before next year starts. Cristoforo has 160 OHL games. 0.62 points per game and Woodall has 86 OHL games and has 0.48 points per game. Cristoforo plays with our best defensive D. How will Woodall look with another 74 games experience?? They both play a soft approach. Cristoforo plays more risky. Best shot blocker though on the team. Plays 1st and first line minutes help his totals. Remarkable plus minus improvement this year but alot of it was that great start and high scores. Cristo +4 last 10 Woodall 0 last 10 games. Which one if moved would hurt the locker room more. That one stays imo.
Very soft approach to hockey most of times.

Is it just me or is there an overall lack of symmetry in the lines. Protas and tree are off. Spells and belch dont mesh. Abraham with the little guys doesnt look great. Just dont like the line makeup. Id like to see some guys moved around. Its not terrible but i think it could be better.
Boring game tonight. No flow at all!

Not much hitting either. Soft.

I thought it was a low event game. Some decent moments but very little flow or jump. Spellacy should be better 3g in 3 games to begin the year. 1 goal in his past 13 only 4 assists. I think some of this stems from size over everything else. Size is great when you can possess the puck, cycle and wear opponents out. Not enough speed to compliment the size.

Ok not a big deal. Outshot Kitchener 35-21. They have the best goalie in the OHL. Another game where they hold a good opponent to about 20 shots. That misplayed puck behind the net in the 1st gave them a gift goal.

Can widen the lead on Saginaw a top the division with a win on Sunday evening.

A few thoughts...

- Losing in a shootout is disappointing, but...
- They outshot the Rangers 35-22. Holding one of the most offensive teams in the conf. to 22 shots is impressive.
- They also kept them to one PP, which was solid. Killing off the 5-min PP was also quite solid.
- Not the most energetic game you'll see; lots of missed passes, disorganization, and miscues. However, they're not all going to be pretty.
- Props to Kitchener for playing a solid defensive game. They did what they needed to and Parsons was a rock.
- Hopefully the blender lines will stop shortly.
- Abraham on the fourth line has to be a message being sent.
- Hopefully Martin isn't out for long.

Short rest and get ready for a big game against Saginaw on Sunday. It's one of those 12 points v. 8 points deals.

Hopefully Misa won't be doing the reverse teddy bear toss today. Guo returns for Saginaw so I'm sure he will get some attention from the Spits. Not sure if Parekh is in or off to camp?
My pick for the teddy bear toss goal is Belchetz, he's due.
Abraham/Outwater dropping down a line every week. You have to give Walter's credit for that, you have to earn your ice time. There are a few others that maybe that message will resonate on.
Important game today. At present Saginaw is the team to beat to keep first in the division.
Be safe.

Parekh should be dressed today for Saginaw as most players are not leaving for Ottawa till tomorrow.
Should be Spellacy 's last game too as he will leave for Team USA tryouts.

Good that Windsor got a point.
Jerseys were actually decent.
Good that they killed the 5 minute major.
Dumb play again by Martin.
Costanzo sound stay in net more.
Defense was soft. Very little hitting.
Passing needs to improve.
Need more people to score. Too many passengers.

Game day Windsor vs Saginaw
Will be curious to see who Windsor adds to the lineup with the Spirit in town and all their suspended players returned to their lineup.
Re Windsor already on league site re Ethan Martin listed as suspension pending so he is out.
Now if I am Windsor I would dress Gaymes,Winegard and Hicks,we know Martin is out,I would then sit Manzo and Outwater, Outwater has struggled lately, Manzo switching off with Hicks, would rather go with 7D and 11F if I am dressing Winegard today,he has not played since November 10 vs Peterborough, 10 games and 4 weeks ago to the day.
As well I would start Costanzo today ,didn't have alot of work last night only 22 shots.
Spits are 6-2-1-1 in their last 10 coming into today's game.
Buckle up could be a long one if recent history and memories mean anything.

Pondering trades again…. So my list of untouchable is a decent size but that doesnt mean i stay pat. I think 1 maybe 2 or the offensive D men could go. Theres a number of F’s, but call me crazy, i dont think many of our guys bring much without pics. Im putting Nesbitt on the block for the right player. Cant wait til next year to make all your moves imho. Yes Abraham could go, i honestly believe his game is off because he doesnt want to go. I know hes hearing the talk.
Now why are Tree and Spells so off??? This should be concerning to everyone! Is it the player, the scheme, coaching….?

Yeah Abraham sat the last period last week, then saw 4th line minutes til the Martin hit. Didn’t look intentionally dirty, but Man, that head contact was apparent and he sent him flying.

I prefer the line switches if something isn’t working. Pushing Outwater (potential OA) and Abraham down (current OA), it sends a message. It also gives those guys a chance to get something going against other teams lesser lines.

D scratches bouncing around has been fine to me. Imagine Winegard is still out, with Gaymes in. Even if it’s not a chippy game, you know he’s mixing it up with someone. Guo seems fitting.

Would love to see Misa flick another one over. I get how the principal warrants a suspension, but on an underperforming team I’m just happy when guys show any emotion lol

Yeah Trees putting up points but every game there’s a couple times he does something dumb with the puck. I’m convinced he’ll be back now, his skating is okay. I wonder if the captain think is effecting his growth. Seems like he’s heavily involved constantly convos with refs etc. great to have a spit, but wonder if it’s hurting his personal development.

Yeah, Abraham being moved wouldn’t upset me. He might bring some value and his off angle shots are killing me. Could be time for a scenery change, but he’s drawn a lot of Penalties this year
