Windsor Spitfires 2023-24 Season Thread (Part 5)

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Remember Windsor has Niagara and Peterborough 's 2nd picks in the draft,so because Ottawa and London get comp picks in the 2nd round the first 2 go there, then 23rd whoever has Windsor, then Windsor has 24th Niagara and 25th Peterborough
Should be interesting.

Will London's comp pick be at the start of round 2, or at the equivalent of the spot Will Moore was defected at in round 2?

OHL cup stats show Valentini is 5-11

Yes most current numbers will come out with the combine.
Your report looks good

So now it shows sometimes selling off players, team tanking can pay off. Hoping this lures a top notch quality coach now.

The only hidden joke ( if you can call it that) is Niagara's 2nd pick ( now a Spits pick) falls outside the top 25.

Bad joke...

First pick, two more picks at 24 and 25, and the third pick in the Import. That's four high-end talents that should make a big difference next season.
A quality coach n good assistants will be needed. Let go of the current.

I don't believe 2nd round picks are affected by the lottery. It should remain the 1st pick of the 2nd round after comp picks.

I forgot about that little detail, so it'll be 23rd and 25th overall?!
Yes that's the way I see it.
Also they NB's 3rd which is 57th ,as well as Niagara's 4th which will be 63rd
They also have Missy 's 4th and Gue's 4th both in the mid 70's.
That's 7 picks in the 1st 75 or so players to be chosen big difference from last yrs 1 pick for the 1st 4 rounds.
